I bought this tv on the Bing Lee eBay sale a few weeks ago for $680. It is a great tv, working well. 50Hz hasn't been a problem with the ps4 gaming I have been doing so far. I haven't tried watching sports yet, but it does have a sports mode which may help. The main reason I wouldn't buy it is if you thought it would go cheaper.
