HP DV6 2119 Notebook $1674 DSE Bluray Burner Quad Core Win 7 DTV 640gb 4gb 15.6" Led Backlit

60

I think this is the cheapest notebook around with the most stuff inside it. DSE has the laptop for $120 less, down from $1784. This is a unbelievable price considering the notebook was only released about a month ago and the rrp is almost $1900.

and it comes with the new i7-720QM quad core, bluray burner which is rarely advertised in the shop ads and has digital tv receiver built in which not even the HP site says is there!

  • This 15" form factor is starting to become useless, why can't companies mass produce 13"?

    • I agree, that resolution should just be on 13". 15" should be 1920 only.

      • True the screen's resolution is not the best. Its not really for portable-ness anyway as jared444 realizes so for some people that can be overcome somewhat by plugging in a monitor. :)

        • Im not really talking about resolution (Although i also agree with it), I'm talking about how people want portable (which should only be 13") or heavy (Which should be 17"), not these form factors that are in the middle.

  • I should also note that the HP site does not list the digital tv receiver inside the notebook but it is confirmed to be there by whirlpool users. You can check that the one you're buying has it (just in case they take it out since it might not be official??) by the round antenna hole on the right side and there should be an antenna listed in the contents on the box.

  • No offense, but you can get this imported from America for about 1000-1200$ AUD… Much cheaper…

    • Does that include customs tax?

      • im sure the sender can lie about the value and say its 1000$… hahaha

    • What model is it because they don't have a 2119.

  • My sis just bought a lower spec DV6 laptop.

Bought it over the other night, I was very impressed with the build quality and the aesthetics

  • I look at it and think - wow $1700 is a lot of money for a laptop these days - especially when there are deals out for 4gb/320gb/dualcore for under $600! But then I look around my uni lecture hall and chuckle looking at Macbooks people have, that are around this price, and not as fast as my $600 laptop!

    • Apple haven't even brought i3/i5 laptops to the market yet… meh.

  • +1

Officeworks have this for the same price on their website. Harvey Norman have it for $98 more but they should price match, which would be beneficial because they also have an offer at the moment where you can pay $1 more and get a copy of Microsoft Office Home & Student.

Nice laptop, stupid resolution - especially considering that it has a BR drive in there! Ugh, HP, why?
