  Maybe but according to choice reviews Kodak is a consistent product - always rates in lowest category low image quality, both manual and automatic modes and quite low on ease of use.
  
  Not the model shown, but over the past 3 reviews they have never had a model higher than the middle of the pack.
  
  So your sister while not a great bargain hunter might not be that silly.

Great price. However FUJIFILM also some great cameras. Eg. for $242 you can get the S5800 with:

  I think S5800 is a stunning (although a bit old) camera and very good price at $242. It's in a different league to this Kodak P&S camera though.
