"Go to deal" pic looks awful - where's the hole ?

Hole is in the middle of that mass of Nutella. Actually, it looks kinda like a censored.

    • I've had it before. It's pretty much just a bit of doughnut stuffed with a whole lot of Nutella. A lot of it. Not much else to it really.

All these places are doing, is getting an existing sweet pastry and smothering Nutella on it as some sort of innovative new product.

"Nutella Donut" = Smear Nutella on the edges of a Donut and crumble it in the process
"Nutella Pizza" = Smear Nutella wildly on a pizza base and add cream

    etc

I'm getting tired of these shops taking a shortcut to sell products and make millions.

Here's a tip for these useless cafes:

MAKE YOUR OWN HAZELENUT PRALINE AND USE IT ON YOUR ITEMS. DON'T SMEAR STUFF READILY OFF THE SHELF

    • But nutella is so good

Yes I know, I love it too and can't get enough.

But when you ask for a Nutella Donut, you expect to have it professionally made where Nutella is actually inside the donut. I went to the Grounds of Alexandria and the cafe there picked up a donut, a large spoon and just smothered Nutella from a jar on my donut and charged me $5. Can't I do that at home?

Where can I find a Cafe that has mastered the art of patisserie and creates their own products

To be fair, I agree with you for some places however you will get a huge portion of Nutella from the doughnuts at Doughnut Time. In fact, it's a bit much and it ends up quite messy. It's the first time I've eaten a doughnut with a knife and fork (Seinfeld style). The Nutella is 100% inside the doughnut, none outside.

        • Am I to understand that you did not decline to pay for the item then?

After just seeing my old man have a heart bypass think i will be laying off the doughnuts ;)

    • "Nutella doughnut please, and hold the doughnut."

  • Thanks Neil. Just got one :)
