$1479 for the cheapest Macbook Air 13', and still only 4 /128gb.. yeesh.

Can't blame Apple for the weak dollar but they really need to bump up the minimum specs.

    • Yeah…Apple always treats us as little Aussies keep paying ripoff prices and won't complain, with/without the weak dollar.

No need to bump up the minimum specs, plenty of mindless Australian consumers will happily pay the premium for the Apple badge.

Bought one last month for $1350 at JB. If I wanted the beats it wouldn't be a bad deal.
As well as a spec bump as you sa,y the MBA needs Skylake to stay what I regard as the best all round ultrabook.
I also got a HP spectre at the same time, and an MBA 11, but I think I prefer the MBA 13 over both even with the older CPU.
The MBA performs pretty well, I believe the storage is PCIE.

(School kids, if you are wondering)

I like Apple, but Apple really need to come up something exciting and innovative. Because of Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, Microsoft is more like "Apple" to me now.

I'm happy Apple still thrives despite the bogan cheapskate culture here.

    • Too true. So many complaints about welfare recipients, but happy to support multi national corporations

Be a mindless consumer and buy an overpriced product, receive another overpriced product free of charge!

  • Perfect Timing Thanks OP.
