Which is the best for online multiplayer? Blops1/2/3, mw2/3/ghosts/adv?
My only experience online is Xbox 360, and would be playing steam on an i5-5200u/8gb-hd5500, not exactly super powered! (And probably using an Xbox controller!)
One of the biggest problems with COD on PC is low player count, which even worse being in Oz. Check http://store.steampowered.com/stats/ for player counts.

I would pick BO2. Good PC port, most populated after BO3 and cheap at $10. I hope you like TDM and be prepared to get your ass kicked against mouse and keyboard players.
I get my ass kicked anyway! I've never been able to get to grips with playing FPS using a keyboard, maybe I'll just buy an old x360 instead! using a vpn I can join US or EU games fairly easilty and they're quite populated on xbox I think still. thanks though, BLOPS2 it is!
