They'll perform the same as if they're connected to a card reader.
Unless you have a specific reason, you're better off just buying an ssd these days rather than card plus adaptor.

The Samsung writes faster using H2testw but slower using CrystalDiskMark. Speedtests of the SanDisk Ultra 80MB/s.
