MESSAGE FROM TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX Please note that all tickets obtained via this site and comment thread are invalid and/or illegally procured. We have removed links from this post and you should consider any tickets received from this deal not valid for use.

Got sent this by a movie industry friend. There are several screenings in what looks like Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide on various dates.

Paste the URL : Mod: URL Removed into your browser and change the last 2 digits to find screenings still available. Then just put in an email address and BAM!

George St. Sydney: Mod: URL Removed
Maroochydore: Mod: URL Removed
Chermside, Brisbane: Mod: URL Removed

etc.

power user update:

please note comment from previous deal:

You really should tell people that these are dodgy links - I went last night using our emailed tickets to the Southbank session. Our names were not on the door and it was an event specifically for Yelp users. I don't know where you got that link from but it wasn't valid. Luckily some people hadn't turned up so we squeezed in but it was pretty embarrassing.

Folks, just letting you know that this ad (and user) has been reported as illegal. These tickets are intended for Press/Media only and are unfortunately not for the general public. All tickets have been voided.

      • +2

I wonder what laws have been broken to make it illegal? Wait better erase that the MPAA and its equivalent might lobby to make it illegal for customers to capitalise on their mistakes.

      • +2

        I don't buy it.
I somehow doubt a rep would make a new account named 'Squirry1010', not click the rep box to send this kind of message.

        • We have verified that this is an employee for Fox.

  • Anyone found Melbourne?

    • Mod: Removed Links

I got a message suggesting no seats are available for both.

      • 1975 works, but looks like it is for invited companies.

        • Yeah possibly.

        • +1

just used that one and it doesnt double check what companies are part of their list. got 2 confirmed ticket from it.

        • @scifigirl21: could be that the barcode\ticket is linked to the details you provided

        • +1

          @InfraRed:

generic email for both of them, unless their barcode reader can tell details from that seems to be fine.

    • 1979

      • No more seats available.

    • this ticket is not exchangable or transferrable. Identification may need to be checked when you attend this event.

      • +2

Your name is not on the ticket they send you through email. It just got a barcode that said admit 1 or 2 depending on the option you choose.

        • I haven't check my e-mail but there was my name and the disclaimer printed on the web page. All the better that they omitted the name in the e-mail :-)

Are you guys really going to go at 10am on a Thursday?

  • +3

Ahh… Midnight toilet run scores me free movie tix :)

  • +1

Hey all. Just letting you know I work in the industry and this should have not been let out to the public. Anyways it's Fox fault for making it so easy to get the ticket with just a link and some number changes.

    • +2

Who are these tickets for? My confirmation email said "deadpool v energy drink". I assumed it was a competition by V. Was it instead meant for V employees? Did others get the same message as me or was it just my number that was somehow connected to V?

    • I used to write film reviews semi-professionally and I agree. This is the kind of thing we got for tickets to the bigger media screenings.

  • Mod: Removed URL for Sydney also

    • No more seats for that one unfortunately

      • IGN employees will not be please lol

  • +1

Haha this is so suss! Nova 919 in Adelaide a currently running a draw to win tickets to the Nova Eastend Palace premier, would suck if someone who legitimately won misses out due to this exploit http://www.nova919.com.au/win/win-tickets-deadpool-special-p…

    • Exploit???

  • +1

Will these definitely be honoured? I don't want to have to take a day off work only to find out I actually have to pay for the movie.

    • You get the email which gives you the barcode. Email said you just went to the cinema and showed the barcode.
