FREE Tickets to Advanced Screenings of DEADPOOL (MEL, SYD, BRIS, ADL)

2813

Mod:

MESSAGE FROM TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX Please note that all tickets obtained via this site and comment thread are invalid and/or illegally procured. While most of the sessions posted here were never real (as a few comments have already confirmed), any patrons attending cinemas with illegally procured tickets may be subject to investigation. Employee at Fox

We have removed links from this post and you should consider any tickets received from this deal not valid for use.

Got sent this by a movie industry friend. There are several screenings in what looks like Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide on various dates.

Paste the URL : Mod: URL Removed into your browser and change the last 2 digits to find screenings still available. Then just put in an email address and BAM!

George St. Sydney: Mod: URL Removed
Maroochydore: Mod: URL Removed
Chermside, Brisbane: Mod: URL Removed

etc.

power user update:

please note comment from previous deal:

You really should tell people that these are dodgy links - I went last night using our emailed tickets to the Southbank session. Our names were not on the door and it was an event specifically for Yelp users. I don't know where you got that link from but it wasn't valid. Luckily some people hadn't turned up so we squeezed in but it was pretty embarrassing.

Yes but I used to work for company that did these screenings. Doesn't mean they can't revoke or send out mail to say that your company id will be checked.

If 1 or 2 people sneaked in, no drama. But the whole lot getting snapped up in one night..

        • -1

Oh. I never know it. Just wait and see what will happen.

Is a day's annual leave worth the $11 saved from paying for this movie some other time?

  • Awesome. Got my ticket to Chermside with 62.

  • 1982 is Warwick in Perth

  • Is this legit?

    • +1

As legit as un-password (coupon code) protected public domain internet URLs are.

    • -1

Folks, just letting you know that this ad (and user) has been reported as illegal. These tickets are not legit and intended for Press/Media only. They are unfortunately not for the general public. All tickets have been voided so I'd avoid turning up to a screening with a ticket

      • Member since 43 minutes ago, get outtttta here.

        • +2

Looks like the IT dude who set up the website for Fox is busily trying to cover up the lax job they did by creating multiple sock puppet accounts warning people not to turn up. All they have really done is make it obvious that Fox has no way of working out who got their tix through Ozbargain, lol.

  • +5

So question for you guys and gals: Could using these links be considered fraud? We aren't the intended recipients.

    • +6

I have a feeling this deal won't be honored because of this, but only time will tell

    • +1

I'd assume they'd catch on sooner or later and just void all of these tickets, I doubt you could get into any legal trouble since everyone's names/emails were entered when generating the ticket

    • +4

Hardly fraud with a public URL anyone can sign up to, and no message or indication regarding who was allowed to sign up. I assumed it was a competition or viral advertising. But now that this sounds like it might not be the case, maybe they will cancel the events. Who knows.

  • +3

    Any for Canberra?

    Just tried everything from 1900-1999.
    Nothing below about 1950.
Cinemas are in VIC, QLD, SA, WA and NSW only.
Not sure about availability of tickets either.

    • +1

Try the 1800s, we didn't exist then and we get ignored like it's then too :P

  • Bad ass
    Smart ass

do you expect there might be non-ozbargain attendees?

    • That says 2012

      • it 1973, my bad

    • +1

? That link showed up as The Phantom Menace 3D for a 2012 screening lol

      • Missed the last number, 1973 will get you to the film

    • EDIT: it 1973, my bad

      • Thanks a ton. Got it

    • just need to travel back 4 years

    • "In cinemas April 21"

    • Please don't. Then how will we know how it pans out and whether the tickets will be valid or not?

      Also, hardly fraud.

      • -5

It is fraud because nobody here actually got sent the invitation or won the tickets.

        • +3

Where does it said that you need to win the ticket or get sent invitation?

        • @highdealer: I second that. It just looks like a general promotion to me. Take a chill pill.

        • +3

whoever genuinely doesn't think this is fraud is kidding themselves.

"Special Invitation" doesn't translate into general promotion.

Of coarse I doubt anything will happen to anyone but doesn't mean that its not unethical

        • @teehee: So many OzBargainers in denial with this clearly targeted deal(with misleading title claiming its free for everyone). Its going to be funny when everyone shows up and they cant answer how and where they got their tickets and get denied entrance and get further questioned for illegally stealing other peoples tickets. Awkward.

        • He's right. Most of them list company names on them like IGN, Nova, Triple M for the screening. They are clearly press screenings and also for competition winners. And going by the new comment in the OP your name won't be on the list and you will be asked to leave.

        • @Orpheus: I think that's a silly statement, since most of the theatre will be OzBargainers. If they turned us away, the theatre would be empty. They'll either let us in or cancel the whole thing. I don't think they'll cancel since that would cause chaos.

        • @highdealer: Right here.

        • -1

@divergent: The theater will be empty because you stole other peoples tickets. What makes you think you're still entitled to be let in? Good luck showing up.

    • No more seats available in Marion.

    • +8

The ones for NOVA 919 are for a competition they are currently running. They are giving away 50x4 (200) tickets and the prizes are going to be drawn on February 2. I'm guessing NOVA will get pretty pissed off if all the promotion seats are gone before they even announce their winners.

My guess is they'll forfeit these tickets and check peoples' IDs against the names of official prize winners.

  • +3

    WE TAKE PIRACY SERIOUSLY… Yep.

    • +4

I'd rather watch it legitimately for free by through typing sequential URLs into the Internet than downloading a torrent =)

    • +15

I take priracy seriously too. I even got a VPN

  • +1

If this works, no one dare mention the word Ozbargain… Hahaha

  • +4

Already got tix to GC, but you guys should all attend wearing ozbargain branded tshirts, would be a sight to behold :P

  • Anymore for Sydney?

  • So sweet, scored 2 tickets. Really looking forward to this one too. Thanks so much.

    • +1

Ride Along 2 is distributed by Universal, not 20th Century Fox. So you won't find it here.

      • Thanks RichardL

  • Only just got home to see I missed out on this :( All Sydney sessions are now sold out. Great find though OP!

If anyone would like to generously donate to the give Stolniik 2 free tickets appeal, I would be more than happy to accept :)

  • +1

    Here's Sydney

    Last one that works.

    Mod: Removed URL

Doesn't seem to be a limit, you can just backspace and enter again to get another ticket. If this does work, don't take more than you need.

    • We can't get out of work for a showing at that time. May have to see it in Gold Class instead.

    • 4th of Feb?

  • +1

    Mod: Removed URL

register now for a free ride in the FOX time-machine. Seriously - they need to come up with a better way of implementing this - like increasing the registration key and randomising it rather than a sequential increase

    • +1

I'm surprised it's taken this long for OzBargain to find out about this

      • +4

I'm surprised no one fired their web developer over the last 4-5 years for not implementing a better system. Where's the hash, or coupon code or silent URL redirect?

  • nothing left for sydney:(

  • Darn. Missed out for post-work Sydney :(
Would love 2 tickets. You win some you lose some… Thanks op

  • Went through every URL. Nothing left at Chermside. Which is the only cinema close to the city (Brisbane).

  • Any Sydney ones left?

  • Do I have to print out the ticket? Or I can just show it on my phone?

    • It says on the ticket "For admittance into the cinema please print out this ticket and present it at the cinema door for entry"

  • -1

  • Any more Melbourne ones?

Posts like this need to be made private for members only if it is to succeed

  • +6

I'll be surprised if this works.

It's going to be mighty embarrassing trying to explain yourself if they ask questions but more likely they'll just cancel the tickets on the spot. Particularly the organisation ones where they would be expecting particular organisations to show up

  • +2

The original link I got sent was spammed out by Fox to various people. I know for a fact there are other Industry only screenings on the same day at the same time in Adelaide. These are all promo tickets.

    • +1

I got V tickets, and I've had their tickets before and no names were asked for, but you had to leave your phones at the door.

  • I think you'd have a better chance of winning the lottery than these tickets not being cancelled, but I grabbed a double pass anyway just in case.

  • -3

Has now made it to reddit. Too late I suspect.

    https://www.reddit.com/domain/foxrsvp.com.au/

  • +15

These tickets are for competition winners and media folk. Having been both, I feel like it would be really sh*tty if I'd just won only to find out all the tickets have been snapped up before I even knew I was a competition winner.

These aren't "general promotion tickets" as people have pointed out… otherwise you'd see them on Hoyts/Village Cinemas websites or whatever.

I mean… I get that people don't want to pay exorbitant ticket prices but… technically these tickets aren't meant for the general public.

I got 2 tickets for Adelaide but live in Brisbane. That'll teach me. Wonder if Jetstar has a sale on.

  • Guys, could not find any advance screening organised for general admission, could this be just for particular organisation? Got 2 tix but worried I might embarrass myself at the venue. Any thoughts?

    • +1

You won't be he only one there been rejected by the looks of it if it does come about. Google nearest pub for a plan b if rejected?

    • +4
      • -2

You cant say all ticket are going to be invalid. Only ticket to that particular place because it is a private cinema for corporate event and function. There have been no confirmation whether ticket to other place was also invalid. That said we all are talking a chance with these tickets and should be prepare to face denial.

        • Pretty sure he said "previous tickets weren't valid"

        • @Utopian: Well it shouldnt be "tickets" if there was only one ticket that was not valid for one specific cinema.

  • All Chermside definitely gone. Anyone wanna take me?
