I just ordered one - great price.
FWIW, Choice magazine's Nov 2015 Soundbar review recommended two units - this one and the Philips Fidelio B5. Negatives of the bose were no HDMI and not suitable for TV's without a flat base. Should be adequate sounding as long as you don't expect audiophile quality.
apparently the Series I is going for $349 @ Myer (although they have been over $100 cheaper @ DJ) and the only difference is BT.
Also the Series 2 is 449, so it seems the RRP is normally around this price.
Why did someone down vote me? http://m.myer.com.au/shop/mobile/mystore/bose--174%3B-bose--…
MYER Has the first one for $440 & David jones don't sell them anymore
On clearance, scans at 349. Was standing next to a guy the other day that bought it.
@CVonC: I'd still pay the extra for the later version :)
It's not the "Bose Solo 15 Series I" but the "Bose Solo". DJ had them for ~$200.
I have previous Bose Solo. Use it all the time over my $4k speaker system (less hassle). Sound quality is good.
Is there a big difference ?
I have Bose Solo 15 Series I (~$250 from DJ clearance, last December) and the sound quality is fantastic for a soundbar. It is the best IMO, highly recommended!
I have a Series I also, and agree that the sound quality is very good.
I checked the Bose Solo 15 series II out in store at Myer tonight. It was playing a Bose demo with a film scene with arrows flying every which way, a clip of a harmony ensemble singing and a doco about music. Not overly impressed (mainly due to lack of bass) but my experience with soundbars is very minimal so maybe I'm expecting too much.
Surely anything half decent with a separate sub is preferable to this at the same price range? I will say though that it did boost the treble very nicely and made speech/narration much more clear/audible.
OP, is the expiration date for this deal certain? I am planning on buying the Bose Solo in a few days but don't want to miss out!
I'm selling my original Bose Solo on eBay as well if anyone is interested. You better off buying it from Myer,
