What is this Changhong TV??
Tvs used in Changi Airport and made in Hongkong.
Chinese brand.
Great deal on the 800C. Great tv for that price.
I was very happy getting mine 7 weeks ago at $970, and the reviews really don't do it justice. Not as fast as the year before's for input lag but the blacks are really good and I have quite a lit lounge room and have had no problems with its brightness. Haven't noticed any problems with off angle viewing either.
I'm in the same boat as you. I got a refurb for $850 and have noticed the same as you have.
Colours aren't the greatest once you move off angle viewing. Starts to look a bit washed out. But the great thing is that you can easily find recommend picture settings online, which means you get a great picture.
One of the criticisms in reviews is that you can't crank up the brightness much, but I too am in a bright room and haven't had an issue with its brightness.
I also have a TCL and the picture is sooo much better on the Sony.
One thing people might want to consider is that the older model 800B is considered to be just as good. So if you can get one cheaper, go for that.
Do you have a link to the recommended settings? Thanks.
A great website which does both reviews and calibration settings- http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/w800c/settings
Unfortunately it is American so you have to work out which model is the same as the Aussie version. Luckily the w800c is the same name as here.
Also this review and settings from a UK site for the W805c, which is the same model:

Any thoughts on Changhong - LED58D2600 - 58" FHD LED TV
In the market for a 48'-50' TV more preferable, budget end, of the scale, seems to be uncommon and more expensive than a year ago (AUD to blame) this is all I can find that apply on this sale, is it a reliable brand?
Listing got updated after I found the TV myself and asked for feedback haha, so yes let the comments roll in on if it's a good buy?
I have a ChangHong fridge and it's pretty good……
keeps the milk cold i'm sure, but how is the picture quality?
I have had a Changhong tv for 5 or so years, and it has never skipped a beat. It was originally Harvey Norman floor stock which means it took a bit of punishment before I even received it.
Apparently these guys made whitegoods for years, good reliable stuff, and decided to get into the TV game. I don't think they manufacture the panels themselves, which means they are likely either LG or Samsung, I couldn't say.
Mine is a bit ugly, a really thick bezel long after that was the style. I think you get your moneys worth however.
Hi, I bought this model before Christmas, on ebay from Binglee for $798, $808 delivered to QLD - at the time $10 delivery only showed up on the mobile app.
Here is a mini review. hope it helps:
Pros:
- Blacks are very black, colors are very uniform - no back-light bleed or un-even colors. Great when watching movies
- Small bezel and stand looks good.
- Picks up digital channels fine.
- 3 yr warranty - they are apparently quite good at honoring this, and have an office in Australia you can call up to deal with.Cons:
- EPG/software sucks. Cant browse channel guide while watching channels. It stops playing video/sound when you enter the EPG.
- Plugging a HDD into the USB port in to watch movies = doesn't keep the aspect ratio of your movie, stretches it to fit the screen. I have tried EVERY SETTING but this cannot be fixed. Fixed it by plugging HDD in through my Android TV box, and android plays it fine.
- Jagged fonts when displaying text on screen. Really notice it in commercials and when browsing the web (via android box). Must be something to do with the TV processing the image or something. Un-noticeable when playing images/videos though. Conclusion: Great if you use a Android/HDMI box (~$30usd). For $639 this is a great TV. If it was still $808 though (as when I bought it), I would probably take the 50" Sony for $880 instead.
Also - I use a sony sound bar for audio, so can't comment on the sound sorry.
Got excited and then saw pick up only.
No Bing Lee in WA.must…..not….buy new tv for bedroom……
must..not..resist..
Wish the 43" 800C was on sale too (currently $1099). 50" is just too big for my pokey little place.
For anyone looking at the 55inch W800C, i noticed there are two listings with different prices.
Add the one below to the cart, use the code and it comes down to $1,030.40 with click and collect. For some reason one is listed at 1595 and the other 1288.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sony-KDL-55W800C-55-Full-HD-LED-S…
I was looking for that price, the 1288 started today but I could only find the 1595 one, cheers added to post
I bought the 800C three weeks ago for $1250. Absolutely shattered.
Still, incredible TV. That price is a steal.Had two separate 800Cs, the software stability is junk. The TV is aesthetically beautiful but Android TV on this runs so slow; constant reboots, WiFi crashing, slow to change channel, turning it off then turns back on by itself.
Do not recommend sadly. Took mine back last week.
holy crap these knob heads don't have stores in victoria
I always thought they went under Clive Peters in Vic
and CP is Harvey Norman here. I don't think they'll match this deal on ebay though - anyone tried?
I seriously doubt it
I have the 800B. Stellar TV. Wish my one had 100hz though.
Don't fret about refresh rates. Here read this about refresh rates:
http://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/fake-refresh-rates-samsung-cl…And here is the review and calibration settings for your tv:
http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/w800bI think the 800B is better then this years 800C, especially for gaming. I have the 800B as well and it has been awesome so far. And I am pretty sure it is 100hz. From memory it has Motionflow XR 400 which equals 100hz.
The 800B does have 100Hz though…?
I messed up. I have the W700B 50" which does not.
Repost Deal - Why does this get upvoted… Lets post a thread for every item on the Bing Lee eBay store..
For those not near BL store - DS is having a TV clearance
https://www.dicksmith.com.au/samsung-lg-panasonic-display-mo…Though looking at:

Panasonic Viera TH55CX700A 55" UHD 4K TV = $1666 @ VideoProDecisions - decisions
PANASONIC 55" (139cm) Ultra HD Smart 100Hz TV TH-55CX640A = $1899 @ DS
was selling for $1094 , probably wait for some better deals…
No good deals at Bing Lee for me. All overpriced
Would there be much difference between the Sony 800c and the 700c ?
Main difference is that the W700C has a 50Hz panel, while the 800C is 100Hz. The 800C also has Android TV-the 700 will just have basic smart features.
Is there anyway to get the tv delivered to Melbourne?
I'd like to know too.
Is anyone having trouble with adding item to your cart?
I'm looking at a Sony TV, when i check store location it says it has in stock, I go buy now and it comes up with error message saying it does not ship to that address?TV = pick up only
Yes I know, I had selected the store to pick up from.
Talking to Bing Lee there is a bug in the eBay sale, for some reason it works when I put in a Sydney address but still selecting my Newcastle store to pick up from
Do other shops price match with Bing lee?
How annoying they aren't in Victoria!
Lots of Bing Lee deals among us…
