Hi all
Bought a Holden Captiva 7 LS (demo 600k) over the weekend for 25990. Comes with 5yr warranty, roadside assist and free servicing. Is that in line with what most people pay for them?
Thanks
Hi all
Bought a Holden Captiva 7 LS (demo 600k) over the weekend for 25990. Comes with 5yr warranty, roadside assist and free servicing. Is that in line with what most people pay for them?
Thanks
its called CRAPTIVA
Yes plagued with issues. Sell it before warranty runs out
Horses for courses.
Buy a lottery ticket, one may be lucky & work well, the other, well who knows …
I agree, if you get lucky and buy a Captiva that works well you should go and buy yourself a lottery ticket!
There's no free servicing, the sale had 5yr warranty and 5yrs roadside.
Price is the same ours are advertised for, it's fine and anyway you've bought it!
Would you say it's good buy?
They're built to a budget, and Holden have been working on fixing the issues it's had since day 1. Unfortunately it really should have a name change or something to get away from all the bad rep it's had.
That said, it also depends on who you need to fit in the 7-seater. Personally, we bought a Territory, as with 2 young kids it has 1 of the widest middle-row seats in the class, allowing us to easily fit 2 car seats and an adult with ease.
Holden? Its made by Daewoo mate.
Go back to your Jeep ;)
@Spackbace: obviously better in every quantifiable way than a Craptiva
Better number of warranty repairs?
Better depreciation?
Better chance of breaking down?
You're spot on, it is better in every way!
@Spackbace: LOL at this - arguing over whether a Holden or Jeep is the worst SUV
@PBG:
Lol :)
@Spackbace: I'm glad you saw the humor in it!
@PBG:
Well, lets face it, it's hard to separate them :)
@Spackbace:
Except Jeep is a brand which has two terrible cars and two reasonably reliable cars, and the Daewoo Captiva is an absolute hunk of Junk that has been unreliable from inception and as a car is technologically rubbish.
Jeep is a brand which has two terrible cars and two reasonably reliable cars
I so hope this becomes Jeep's new tagline :)
@PBG: It should, the Compass and Patriot are absolute pieces of junk.
@PBG: If they had stopped at three cars, they could have used Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad by Meat Loaf, in their ads.
Thanks Spackbase. No 5 years servixing was also includes. The demo car was registered in nov, and thats when they were running that promo apparently.
No, the free servicing till 2020 special doesn't combine with last weeks 5+5 special. If the car was demo-d, it would have just the free servicing till 2020.
I'd suggest you make sure the contract lists all those bonuses and you could fight them on it. If it doesn't list them, the salesman was telling lies.
Included*
You paid for one?
WHY??????
Sorry…
Thanks spackbace i will follow up asap.
Everyone seems to hate them on here and whirlpool. But as a weekend car to drive around with the extended family i dont think there should be any issues. Fingers crossed
"i dont think there should…." Well don't live on assumptions. There are few real facts. So go buy anything else.. But not Craptive or "Fix It Again Tony" or "You bought a Jeep"
You will only ever hear about the negatives. I know 3 separate people that own one and love it. One recently replaced theirs with a newer captiva. Personally they're not for me.
Enjoy your car. If it has issues you'll deal with it at the time. Hopefully it'll be trouble free for you.
Personally had a captiva 7, 2013 a rav 4 2014 and now a kuga 2016. Very little separates them imo. I known the 7 is considered a large SUV vs the other 2 small. But it's not much different to the captiva 5. What really separates them all these days besides technology. If the car is going to have a problem it should be in the warranty period anyway.
is it 4wd or 2wd?
Just enjoy your new car and dont worry about whether it was a deal or not. no regrets.
Exactly this. If you lose sleep on these things you've made the wrong decision. Find what you can afford, find what you want and buy it.
You're supposed to stop looking and stop worrying after you've bought something.
Only regret lies along the path you're going down.
