Bell Bicycle Helmet $25 @ Costco Northlakes QLD (Membership Required)

90

I saw these when I visited Costco Northlakes a week ago and they were marked at $39.99. I was tempted at the time but didn't get one.
I went back in today to grab a rug they had and happened to see that the helmets have been marked down to $25.
It still scanned at the higher price so the checkout operator had to do a manual override.
There were about a dozen in 2 boxes near the registers when I was there at 10:30 this morning. I'm not sure if there would be any more.
Bell Dart Adult 53-60cm (only 1 size)
There were 2 colour choices. The picture is not great but the one I chose is grey and hi-vis orange. There is a reflector on the back for added visibility.
From memory I think the other colour was black and red.

  • Question for all:

Is Costco membership really worth it?

    • +1

      No.
After the first few visits, the novelty wears off and you'll realise ColesWorth are better.

      • -1

        Agreed…

I tried it for a year when it was free, but not worth renewing.

Maybe if you live a few doors down from a Costco it might be worth it…

    • Yep, I saved 2x my membership on glasses.
Then saved it again buying a vaccy
      Then saved heaps each shop

If you live close to a store the saving on petrol alone more than covered the membership cost

  • I can't see this model ever being sold in Aus. Does it has Aus standards?

    • can't tell from the photo, maybe LJackson can reply. It needs an "AS/NZS 2063:2008" sticker on the inside of the helmet

    • +1

Yes. The other side of the label has AS/NZS 2063:2008 and there's an Australian Standards sticker on the inside of the helmet.

    $5 here !!!

    (Australian standards approved.)

  • All cyclists should wear a helmet when riding. Funny how cheap some people can be - they would rather save $25 than save their lives.
