    Wouldn't go near them. To take a week to update customers and then offer a pitiful 30% discount on inflated prices, and take up to a whole MONTH to refund orders is unacceptable.

    Their customer contact number is non existent. It's as if they hang up on you everytime I manage to get through. They also never respond to emails.

    Please tell me this is a joke or I am having a dream now. They're hardly responding to the calls & emails from some of the people who were doomed in the last so-called sale, and almost all the previous purchases are still "processing" and they're pulling this one again? Ridiculous! People should be warned of such unscrupulous behaviors from certain businesses.

      • Nope! I am one of them and I got neither sunnies nor refund yet. I tried to call them and the call was either ignored or rejected. In the end I resorted to sending them an email and I didn't even get an answer yet. That was 3 days ago when I sent them the email. Never again!

          It's still being processed and they aren't responding to calls. And for most of those who managed to go through, they were told their orders were cancelled and they'll "soon" get refunds. Rubbish!

    From the comments on the previous threads, it looks everyone got their order cancelled. Out of stock sounds like a cheap cop-out.

    You would have to be a moron to make another order if you are waiting up to SIX WEEKS to get a refund on a cancelled order, after BUPA took a week to cancel orders. Bad service.

    I'm confused… they claim there is no stock and send us a 30% off voucher…. yet their site still lists the exact same models that they claim to have no stock of but for 4x the price…. ? Definitely something dodgy going on here

  • I spend 230 bucks a month on health insurance with Bupa and told them on email to refund my purchase by next week or I walk.

  • Still no refund from my original order. Item is still listed as in stock. Massive scam. I'm taking my insurance money elsewhere, given I'm paying a premium for nothing. Every month money goes into their account and I really get nothing in return. This would have been the first thing I ever took advantage of as a member for over 10 years. Screw them. Terrible customer experience

  • They are still holing my money refunding it after a maximum of 30 days and most likely claiming the interest haha. If that money was in my account it would have gained interest in my account. They just got away with it! Anyway I sent them an email:

    Hi,

    A few concerns:

    1. Why is the notice late? It was ordered 16 days before I received this response, I work in IT in the retail industry so I know how quick Bupa Optical should "Know" that the orders exceeded the available stocks. You should have cancelled the orders by then as early as 2 days and you should have never left me a very bad consumer experience.

    2. Bupa is holding my money, people's money, for quite some time. If it was in my bank account it would have gained interest, and definitely it will also gain interest in Bupa's account. Say Bupa refunds my money, they get the interest if you get my point.

    I am not convinced though that Bupa has put effort to fulfil that much orders since if it was clearly out of stock it should have reflected on your system immediately. As I have said, I work in retail IT so I know how it works.

    Accordingly please process my refund ASAP, it has already been 19 days since I lent Bupa my money and I know they have no plans to pay interest.

    • I've emailed at least 10 times and received no response despite them stating they will get back within 24 hours.

  • NO way I'd order from them again!

    I ordered on the 30/12/15. No delivery. No email cancellation, no reply to my multiple emails to [email protected]. Their number 1300791985 is on answering machine directing me to the website, and I've left messages anyway. I've called the head Melbourne store, who can't help, nor can Doncaster.

    I managed to contact BUPA via Facebook. They promised someone would contact me shortly. They did via email the next day asking for my order number (which I'd already supplied) It has been another 5 days and no contact since. It has been over 1 month since my order.
