Not as good as the 6 PC deal a few days ago, but still a really good price for a top quality kitchenware set.

Cheapest I could see else where is $260 shipped and this does not include the bonus knives you get with this one.

    I own some the pieces already, the only down side is the handles are a bit a narrow on saucepans and frypans so a bit tricky when tilting to pour from them. not an issue with pots because you use 2 hands.

    same problem with all clad which also has these narrow handles.

    the quality of the metal and ply and lack of hot spots around edges is great, the scan pan (China) is as good as my all clad (USA)

    just wish they could get the handles right. the problem with the shape of all clad handles applies to the scan pan also
    ….. but they are great cookware once on the stove top. and no hot spots around edges.

    check cuisinart chef ultimate range (China) they are similar price for a set and also Tri-ply.

    once you own Tri-ply cookware the other ones with just a bonded base seem to be sold based on marketing rather than sound design and thermodynamics.

    the essteele sempre (Italy) are also Tri-ply and have much better handles but even discounted are $100 for just a frypan and don't come in sets….. so cost 3x what cuisinart or scan pan cost.

    OOPS my sorry, thought this was the tri-ply scan pan (mine is their first gen which was 3 layer) which impact isn't, and is now 5 ply not 3 and is called clad5 and they have fixed the poor handle design and I can't delete only edit:-(
