I've bought 2 of these cheap things before and they've broken, they're made very poorly. My previous ones weren't exactly the same as this one.
I just finished buying one. Paid $6.49 for a USB 3 card reader from Victoria, coz didn't want to wait too long.
The going rate for USB 2 readers seems to be $3, rather than the $7.69 they claim. They won't be getting any business from me if that's what their pricing is like.
However, I like $0.
