Out of the 4 games included 2 are absolute junk, and 1 comes free with any standard wii package.
Given that a standard wii should be less than $300 these days this is not a good deal.

Completely agree. The worst deal is from EBGames. If you trade in your old Wii, you get this completely unchanged black-colored one for $199. Seriously, EB, what the hell.

A black Wii is simply about aesthetics so it matches the rest of your home theatre gear. As a current owner of a black Wii (imported from UK about four months back) I think it's worth the few extra $ (but not $199 though!). Yep sorry, my desire for a bargain was tossed aside that day in favour of a glossy black finish. Whether it's a bargain or a good deal compared to a white one became sort of irrelevant. :D
I think overall this isn't a bad deal, none of these games are cheap nasty ones (whether they are "good" is debatable) so you could sell the included games on eBay to net yourself a new black Wii console for less than $300. And therefore waaaay cheaper than it was to import one. Still no regrets, ha!
If you were after aesthetics you should have gone for a White Wii and a poster of Miranda Kerr. You'd have yourself a couple of dollars and gotten a way more awesome-looking deal too. But seriously, odd that you bought a Wii for aesthetics.. among the 3 major consoles, Wii is the least attractive looking one.

I bought black to match the rest of the gear, not because it's cute. The Wii may be unattractive (and I do also have a PS3) but it's the only one where I can play tennis, golf and snowboarding without having to change out of my pj's. And also I can pretend to get "fit". :D
In our house, the Wii is for fun, and the PS3 mostly gets relegated to blu-ray.
Yeah thats kinda the sad story of PS3. Its rapidly becoming a multimedia station over an awesome gaming platform. But it can be both if you buy the right games. Anyway… I understand where you're coming from. My TV's black, PS3 is, Xbox is.. so IF I GET a Wii, it'll be black. But not at these prices.

If you really want decent gaming get a Xbox 360 or PS3. Much better and HD gaming. What kind of new games machine only offers SD low resolution graphics these days?
Wii and XBOX360/PS3 is like comparing apples to oranges. Yes, the Wii is SD but it's in a different league of gaming.

Wonder why they made the base grey rather than black too?! Maybe that will be the "Wii Black Special Edition"!
You know. A lot of people made fun of the Xbox Elite saying it's just an expensive White Xbox with a bigger hard drive. But it had that one difference at least. The Black Wii is a photocopy of the white one with no changes except a new paint job and the word 'Limited' slapped on to it in a nice little marketing scheme along with a heavier pricetag. I know Nintendo fanboys are going to neg me down into oblivion but if you put aside your fanboy mentality and look at it objectively, you'll realise that the Black Wii is just an overpriced Wii.
The deal may be awesome in comparison to other Black Wii prices in the market, but the Black Wii itself is overpriced. Seriously, get a next-gen console like the PS3 or the Xbox… It's around the same price.
