  • Big W have these at 30% off too. Stacked with the eGift or Gift Card discounts and you're up

    • BigW shows $52 online. Is this an in-store deal? And which one?

      • Even in-store, it scans as $52, all the way up until you "Pay now" and then it shows the discounted price. There are signs and warnings at those self-scanning terminals to remind you about the offer tho.

I bought one with the free Aluna jug at the same price of $36.40 like avenasat mentioned below. Not sure if the deal is still on.

        • Do you mind please posting the receipt from the Big W deal with the free jug? Might try and raincheck it.

        • I reckon they don't offer free Aluna jug anymore.

        • @Hayeswei:

Most likely in-store only, while stocks last. I picked up one of three or four at Lilydale (NSW).

  • Picked Up in store in Melbourne at BIG W; visited few stores past few days and all had these. However, some stores - also had the same 6 catridges - with free jug. So, basically the jug comes free. This aspect seemed to vary from store to store. All the 6 cartridges for $52 less 30%.

  • Got this message when trying to pay by DJ gift card "Sorry, Gift Cards are not redeemable at this time. Please use another payment method or try again later"

Just saw this post and thought I could also confirm that Bigw in Kingsway city, WA, is having 30 % off all the Brita products including the jugs and tap filters . Sorry I'm not sure how much exactly they are .

    Uhm… $5 cheaper plus free jug here - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/227626

  • I took this pic in Big W the other day.. Shows the end date for their sale is the 6th of Jan.

That means the $52 Big W normally charges comes down to $36.40. Also note that in Big W, their scan polls/stations do not reflect percentage off discounts, only the registers do. Big W also have a few that contain free jugs.

EDIT: Basically everything that quarrymaster said. :)

I used to buy these as well - and I also spent ages every evening filtering a few two litre jugs worth of water to stick in the fridge.

If you really want to save money and time then invest in an under the sink filter system (this type of thing).

Just have to change those filters around once a year and I can filter two litres of water in around 30 seconds. Last time I bought two sets of filters for $78 which will last two years.

  • For those who have Costco memberships, it's on sale at the moment at Costco for $47-48 for a pack of 8 (I can't remember the exact price, but works out to be $6 each - I'll see if I can find my receipt).

  • I can't find the 6 packs with free jugs!!! Where are they? :'(

    • depend on your local bigw. visited 2 local bigw last week . none of them have stock.

  • Any idea of the shelf life for these?

Say if I stock up 20 of these…..and I change them every 2 months..

  • Regard bigw. Canberra airport majura. Had 3 jugs plus filter packs left

  • Grabbed the last one at Big W Jesmond

Thanks for the heads up OP!
