Latest eCoupon code from Lenovo includes 30% off ThinkPad T-Series from the existing sale price (although I have to admit that "sale price" should probably be the real RRP anyway). That's 30% off all T400/T410/T500/T510 ThinkPads, except the ones that are the "Deal of the Week special offer".

With the same coupon code you also get:

  • 10% off ThinkPad R-Series
  • 10% off ThinkPad SL-Series
  • 25% off ThinkPad X-Series
  • 25% off ThinkPad W-Series
  • 15% off ThinkCenter Desktop

  • thinkpad are good but I found are expensive. Nothing beats deals inpsiron 15 in terms of bargain. $650 plus 5% off from NRMA discount or 7% via moneybackco. Can beat that in terms of value.

    • +1

The Lenovo ThinkPads are tanks. I had a Dell XPS M1210 for only 24 months and it died :( The ThinkPads will outlast every single computer you can think of!

    • Yeah. Pretty much has to compare T-Series with Dell Latitude. I am typing on a Dell Latitude D630 at the moment and I think it is about as good as a ThinkPad T-Series. Although the current E-series Latitudes have gone backwards…

    • I'm writing this on a T61 actually which is used for work and play.

You pay more for the thinkpads, but they do last. The chassis is reinforced, the hinges are thick, and the laptop is built for daily use. I've had two thinkpads over 5 years and have never had a problem. There were apparently a few bad models when Lenovo took over, but they seem to have gotten over that.

So I guess it depends on what your priorities are: A lower quality but cheaper laptop or a more durable laptop but more expensive.
