Been looking for some DDR4 for a new build I've got coming up. Got 2 x 16gb kits (2x8gb, 4x8gb sticks total) for just under $275 delivered. These were $308 ($154 per kit) before delivery just last week. The same 4 sticks are currently $399 before postage at PC Case Gear so pretty good deal if you ask me!

I am really curious as to what kind of system or what specifically is it used for…that requires it to have 32GB of DDR4 ram?
A very high end system.
My system has 16GB of DDR3 RAM and i think that's heaps already.
3D Graphics Rendering, e.g. Luxrender comes to mind.
Personally for dev - where you're running multiple VM's, db & web servers, virtual android instances, etc.
Scientific computing.
As mentioned, I have chosen to go with 32gb over 16gb as I will be using the machine for rendering, as well as gaming etc. Excess ram will be used to speed up the system with ramdisk etc.
See this post.
Despite me talking specifically about 64GB or more of RAM, it just as well applies to 32GB of RAM.
and still too overpriced for the meager improvement over ddr3.
My z170 won't accept ddr3. X99 won't accept ddr3. Therefore for those of us running the above sockets l, your opinion is really uncalled for in this thread. 3200mhz ddr3 (2x4gb kit) are over $600 so horses for courses this ram deal is pretty damn good.
You could also get 1 x 16gb kit (2x8gb sticks) for $125 plus post (~$25ish)
