Was looking for a new tv when I came across this deal at JB Hi Fi. Looks good for this price at under $3000 for a curved UHD TV by Samsung. Its specs include 200Hz refresh rate (which from whatever little I know, matters). I am considering getting this and thought this might help someone looking for a new telly. A quick google search shows this particular model is the cheapest at this price. Regular follower but first post, so may have missed out on details.

Is this the same model as the dick Smith, David Jones ones that were going for $990 2 weeks ago?
Ahh don't think so, they wouldn't have it their Boxing Day sale if it was
It was this one:
awesome… is it still available ?
This tv also has the best stats i believe for a 4k tv for gaming at 1080p and probably close to for 4k gaming, about 17-18ms input lag in gaming mode at 1080< and 37ms or so in pc mode for 4k gaming at 30p or 60p if you have correct setup for it. This is why i bought this model over the flat screen equiv, it seems they put best tech in the curved screens.
Great TV, but I would be also looking at the LG's
Unless you have 8k to blow on a 65" OLED, every other LG is much closer to the bottom of that list. Makes this very particular Samsung look like a very good deal.
I'm really holding out for the 8 series to drop in this size.
Or just wait till NY and pay less
bought this a few weeks ago at this price, very nice TV, i was stressing about what panel these come with, mine has AU Optronics panel, not samsung so its A-MVA for anyone wondering, these are great for gaming. Im no tv expert but the panel seems great to me very happy with it regardless of it not being a samsung spva panel. You will need a $50 adapter to run these at 60p 4k on pc on a AMD video card, only support 30p 4k from hdmi port, club 3d and a few others are making these display port to hdmi 2 adapters but are waiting on chipsets.
Viewing angles on my panel are excellent for anyone wondering, seems far better than the flat versions i have seen.
