13" MBP Retina 2.7 128G is $1799 at Good Guys.
Officeworks have it for $1875, so price beat to $1709.
RRP is $1999, so its about 15% off

Got it 2nd hand, which in my opinion is the only way to go.
        I paid $1300 for it and it's the 2015 13 inch 256GB model.

      • if you live on the gold coast/brisbane and want a 15inch, msg me

In this issue we’ve reviewed an Olympus camera that looks like a lens on p76. What is the name of the camera?

    Why these annoying questionsssss

  • Thank you so much OP!! Been meaning to edit things since my PS trial expired.. this is perfect!

  • Many thanks, it's awesome

  • Awesome! Thank you OP!

  • How does this compare to Photoshop?

    • I expect photoshop would be much more powerful, but again the latest iteration of photoshop costs well above $1000. No doubt it has its reasons, but its certainly an overkill for anybody other than graphic designers. As a software developer, I found Pixelmator costs only a fraction of that(and now its free!) and covers all the features I need.

      • RE: Photoshop, or it's $10/month forever.

  • thanks for sharing +1

@stuckster I get the impression it's something like 80% of Photoshop at about 5% of the price.

I am using it more regularly now, and while I am no expert user, I find it quite powerful for my needs - primarily centred on punching out, composing, and cleaning up images destined for the Web.

I've heard MANY great things about Affinity Photo though, which is worth a look.

I use Pixelmator as well. But would like to know how Affinity Photo compares. Anyone with Affinity Photo share the experience?

      • +4

I have used Pixelmator for years and just bought Affinity Photo…there is no comparison! AP wins hands down, it's as close as you're ever going to get to Photoshop, well worth the asking price!
