As far as I know, Jetstar do not price match free fares, and as this is technically a free fare ($0 for the fare and the rest airport tax) I dont think this would be elligable. I would prefer to fly with Tiger anyway.
It does depend which operator you get. Some will honour it, some wont. If they dont, try and call back for another operator. I price beat some of those $10 sydney fares back in that new years sale, yet some operator's wouldn't.
I did the exact same thing. Really depends which operator you get.
Some fares are even cheaper than listed above.
I got Hobart to Adelaide for $23, which coupled with my Adelaide to Hobart I got for $2 last year, Gives me a nice return holiday for $25. Thank you Tiger!
…and in anticipation of all the Tiger bagging, I have been on around 10 flights with them so far, all have been on time, and none cancelled. I may be just lucky but I think Tigers reputation is a lot lower than it should be.
Out of Adelaide Tiger has the best Ontime performance for any carrier, so I wouldn't be to fussed about Delays. Melbourne base is where the problem is.
Haha yes, I flew with tiger twice. And both times have been delayed by 30 minutes… But the flight was good I guess! :)
My only advice is, if you have a choice between watching "Air Crash Investigations" and "Airways" the night before your tiger flight, pick the Air Crash one - you'll have fewer nightmares! :)

Hmm, that's a bit tough for overseas visitors. I went to Europe last year and had no problem book with budget airlines with my Aus CC. Tiger Airways needed to relax a bit.

Just bought some cheap seats. Couldn't justify $800 with qantas compared to $150 with Rahh the tiger!. My 7 year old cost $21.00 - my 11 month old daughter cost $27.00 with out a seat or carry on! thats a joke!!

$50 return flight from Adelaide to Gold Coast is cheaper than taking a taxi to Adleaide airport from most of the suburbs (one way ;-).
