Nikon SB-700 Speedlight Aus Stock $335.56 Delivered @ No Frills Cameras eBay Store

CHRISTMAS10

Yes it's just a flash and yes it's going to cost as much or more than some of the recent Nikon DSLR camera deals here.

However, if you are looking for an external flash for your new camera, this is a well reviewed unit and is the best price I can currently find for Australian stock.

I decided to get this model after reading many reviews as it's smaller and a lot cheaper than the SB-910 but more powerful and more feature rich than the SB-500 for not much more in terms of price. I was also tossing up a much cheaper 3rd party flash such as the Yongnuo YN-568EX, but this seemed to be more of a hit and miss option so being a beginner I avoided it.

You can save a few dollars and get a grey import but I'm heading overseas at Christmas so this will work out as the cheapest option after the GST refund, in addition to the local warranty benefits and supporting a local business that's very competitive on price.

I ordered this flash on Friday morning, it was shipped less than an hour later and arrived in Adelaide on Monday morning, so the service was excellent.

Don't forget there is currently 3.3% Cashback through CashRewards, which will work out to $12.30 - an extra $1.12 over the 3% I got on Friday (ouch, that really hurts)!

As much as I love Nikon and they're products I stopped buying their flashes. I have a 900 and an 800.

My last three flashes have been younguno ones the ones I have are the manual ones but all with built in wireless, great for setting up multiple flashes. For 80 bucks a pop great little things.

There are others that do ttl eg.the mitros and are much better and cheaper.

    • Just got myself a nissin di866 II to replace my broke SB600 :)

    • Seconding recommendation for Yongnuo flashes if your cheap. Excellent value for money. I have 2 and they work fantastically together with my Pentax AF360fgz as secondary synced flashes.

I have YN 460 and YN 460 II manual flashes and RF-602 Ebay triggers that I use for extended family group portraits etc. None of that replaces my SB-910 or SB-800 for on camera work.

There's no substitute for power, so I consider lower power flashes a waste of time and money. And there's nothing like OEM for flash in my experience with the Nikons. I looked at a wide variety of 3rd party flashes and they all had some limitation or other. Mind you that was a few years ago. I believe there are good clones on the Canon side of the EX600RT but again I went with an original in last year's sales and I don't have problems.

  • Always been this price at no frills.

  • any deals on sb9xx flashes?
