Was shopping around for a espresso machine/coffee machine. the Breville with eBay 10% off appeared to be reasonable good deal. However, I notice this seems to be attractive as well

  • Is there a GST cost on arrival?

    • yeap. I'm afraid you have to pay

  • In German so I'm not sure what you are buying and it says 1219€ so this post makes no sense.

  • Price is coming up as €1093.37 for me.

Gusper you can change the language and when you select Australia as your shipping location it will remove 19% for VAT. Of course you will have to pay GST also.

  • I preferr Breville, they got really good reviews on Amazon. A lot better than the DeLonghi one

I have this machine (deLonghi Prima Dona). 4000+ coffees so far and going strong. Love it.

  • Almost $3000 @HN. However the reviews are not so good.

I have a delonghi coffee machine, which I really like the coffee that comes from it.

However it did need warranty repair in the first few months.

Good luck getting that with an OS purchased product.

All coffee machines have moving parts etc, which makes then a lot more likely to need repairs, plus they are heavy so returning to Europe for repair etc is going to be problematic

Have you tried delonghi site for factory seconds of this? I think they come with 6month warranty as opposed to 2 (retail) but some of the primadona ones on there were $600 upwards last I checked. From what I know they are fairly readily repairable if things break.. We have a magnifica and it's a great machine. A little noisy (esp the grinding) but much better (and cheaper long run in our place) than the pod machines. I think delivery from delonghi isn't too bad either!

  • EDIT

    Replied to wrong bargain.

  • Only buy one if you can repair it yourself (especially when buying from overseas), well that's my opinion. I have a Magnifica (well two…) and it seems the steamer heater element burns out on them as I've replaced one and now I have to replace the other one.
