      Yes, you can use any Sim card - just won't be abl to take advantage of the calls.

    I think you have to have no job so you can go there the moment the store opens, if you want to get sim cards on special at supermarkets. And it has to be on wednesdays when specials begin.

    I've had no luck with $5 sim cards, or even $10 ones.

      I walked in this morning looking for iced coffee. They had a large one that expires tomorrow for $1.08. Then I realised I ran out of credit, so I asked for $10 Optus starter kit (to tide me over). She came back with a $30 one and told me it is only $5 on special so I should take that one.
      Didn't even see it on Ozbargain.

      From same Woolworths I picked up 5 $40 Boost sims from the previous promo at about 6pm, the day after it was posted on Ozbargain.
      I think it just depends on your suburb.

    The cruise is widely available. But note the "$10 credit" is almost worthless, maybe 2 calls. The 5GB is great!

    12c/min and 60 day expiry on the coles/optus sim, so good for low use. Whats the minimum recharge?

      You are right on Coles/Optus sim but Telstra cruise would be worth the extra $4 for people who are just looking for 5GB data or people could choose this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/223179. Minimum recharge is $30 on Telstra freedom plus plan.

        Yes, telstra for 1-off data, coles for voice. get both! :)

        I mean whats the min recharge for coles/optus? If low, its a great backup/low-use option.
