  • Just didn't understand their comment "23 films on Blu-ray from Dr. No to Skyfall plus space reserved for SPECTRE (Coming 2016)"

I wouldn't bother with this box set any way as 22 out of the 23 movie discs are region A locked which is useless for most people.

the previous pack (50th anniversary) I got from Amazon UK (then the region is correct) has an empty space for when Skyfall was released - you buy the disk when its available later and there is a space to put it.

Dont buy from US amazon, you need the correct region (well 99% of people do)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/James-Bond-Film-Collection-Blu-ray/d… around AUD$102 plus post for the one with no didgital copies

All of the movie discs except for Skyfall will be region A locked. So think before you buy if you don't have a Region A blu-ray player. So don't waste your money. You need the UK or AU box sets.

Check the status of the individual movies further down on the blu-ray.com page. They say region A locked.

$132 doesn't seem as much as a bargain as around $80 from the previous deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/221217)

My box set from the UK arrived earlier in the week so fast shipping and can't wait to unwrap it come Christmas.

Also as Hollykryten mentioned the region locking will be a major PITA if its implemented and probably not worth the risk.

I'd almost say just spend the extra $10 and buy the local version at JB with their 20% off instead (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-shows/movies-tv-shows-on…) you'll get it straight away, have no issues with regions and support the local economy </patriotic rant>

    • Keep your UK box set as atleast it's region B. This set from Amazon US is region A locked (except for Skyfall which is only worth about $13 locally). Just saying this because i don't want people making a mistake and then realising they've blown over $100 for discs they can't even play.

Basically this box set to Australians is only worth $13 because that's just how much Skyfall is worth locally. The rest of the movies are useless and worthless being locked to another region to any one with a Region B player.

    • thats a different pack, doesnt have the digital versions.

  • For those with region locked blu-ray players, you can often Google the super secret code to region-unlock your player completely. "region 9" is generally used to encompass all regions.

Its usually one of those 'press eject then press play 5 times then press pause then eject again until a light flashes 9 times' style code.

    • Solves the problem for one's current player, but it can ultimately become a nuisance investing in non-region B discs. Loans to friends/family are hit-and-miss, the discs are less appealing to buyers if you want to sell, and the range of options when shopping for a new player becomes more limited.

I only buy region A for titles not available in region B, or where the saving is huge.

Region 9 .. isn't that for DVD. Blu Ray is A B C etc .. I have a player I can 'change' the Blu region on . but its a PIA switching and remembering how to do it when I need to switch back and forth (and I now have 2 partly because of that annoyance - and one is 3D capable).

  • EVERYTHING OR NOTHING: THE UNTOLD STORY OF 007

This is great. Saw it on one of the streaming services.
