      why is it a BS deal. Doesn't seem fudged up if they designed a targeted coupon and send it to people. Seems like a stock clearing exercise and sour grapes for you cos u missed out on a fantastic opportunity.

      It also say in Yellow on the e-mail - HURRY WHILE STOCKS LAST! and in fine print Offer while stocks last. This supersedes the offer expiry date. Next time take it more seriously especially on a very good DEAL!

    Partner just went in-store to try and buy one, had one or two left. Salesman was helpful and went to put the sale through but the computer wouldn't allow it to be done (or something along those lines). Said that the item has been completely removed from the system by head office.

    Edit: Got a call from the salesmen that was looking into why it was removed. So apparently the email with the coupon was never intended to go out.

  • Picked up mine from Glen, Vic . didnt get the extra accessories. Allegedly no stock in anywhere close by….

    Not too sure what to do next. Will contact breville

  • I ordered a click and collect from Rockingham (WA) within minutes of receiving my email this morning. Rang twice to try and make sure order would be processed but was never able to speak with the person who processes the orders. Anyway, two hours ago for a call saying they cannot process order and no stock left Australia wide. 😠

  • Had one on hold with local store. They knew the gingerbread mold was included, but were unaware of the ice-cream bowl. Took some time to convince the salesman. He was nice and gave me a retail unit (as the carton does not mention anything about being promotional unlike the gingerbread mold's). Lucky I kept mum on the coupon. Looks to be a pricing error. Great deal with the extras.

  • I did in store pickup at Borragoon WA. They said they were not responsible for the bonuses as they were not on the website. I took the mixer and later got a call from a manager saying they had not been informed of the promo. But they now know and they ware on order and they will be putting one aside for me. I was very impressed with their pro-active approach in calling me. I assumed I would have to go through Breville. What a relief.

  • I went to a store that had stock but they couldnt sell it to me because it was taken off their system. What a joke. the coupon says while stock last. Clearly they had stock. They just decided to take it off the system.

  • Reserved one in the morning, went there manager told me they sold 10000 units in the morning online, supplier ran out of the stock in the whole country and headoffice enforced all branches not to sell any to fulfill the online orders. I was lucky that they honoured my sale with extra bonus.
    Just fyi, they dont know about such promotion so ask and show the website.

    Picked up the last one (display model) at the Springfield Lakes store.
    Store staff very helpful and aware of the Breville promotion.
    It was an online order, however when I called to ask if it was ready for pick up I was told the only stock left was the display so decided to take the chance on it. Considering the store has only been open a couple of weeks it will hopefully be OK.

  • Hi, I ordered one yesterday at 11:24 to pick up from Erina. They did not send email whether the item was ready to pick up. Logged in to the JB Hi-Fi website and found the note it was. Went to the store this morning and yes it was there, also I was given the Ice Cream bowl and Gingerbread House Mould too! :)

  • Picked up my order this morning. They had the gingerbread house but took awhile to convince them about the ice cream bowl until they found it on their computer. Then they realised they had shipped two out yesterday to online orders without the bowls

  • Just picked up mine from chermside! They were extremely helpful and so nice! They're getting breville to send them the bonus extras and they'll call me when they arrive. Happy days :)

  • Picked mine up today too, and they knew about ice cream bowl so that was good. It was clearly pulled from system though (first person was confused) and I was told that the $150 discount had accidentally been applied twice. So maybe whoever suggested that as a possibility earlier in the comments were right.

    • when i picked mine up, he couldn't believe i paid $189 for the package. He was like we usually sell them together for $550. He looked on the system and said it was way way below cost , if i saw correctly cost price was either $299 or $319

      It was initially $489 on the website, discounted to $339. I think they forgot to put the price back up before they emailed the coupon code.

      Kudos to JB for honoring the deal

      My advise to those who chose pickup to go quickly and try to collect (even if they dont have the ice cream bowl) before they send out an apology email. They chase up the Ice Cream Bowl redemption with Breville

Its also not a store that normally stocks whitegoods so i'm in a bind. :( lets hope they fulfil all the orders.

        • @easternculture: So i went in store to ask about my order. Turns out JB have already sold out of their stock, and are on back order for quite a few units. From what i was told i have the impression JB are fulfilling all orders already processed and they are hoping to get stock before xmas, but they'll find out hopefully in a few days once they get in contact with their suppliers and i was told will email all the customers with more details.

    @easternculture I can't thank you enough! I've been dreaming about one planetary mixer for 3years now! It doens't matter that the one in my dream was mint or red KitchenAid, I've asked my husband probably 100 times that I want one but they are so expensive! I've missed one last year, missed kenwood a couple of weeks ago and yesterday couldn't believe that we placed an order in time and even picked up the mixer later yesterday.

  • I picked mine up from Ringwood store. They wouldn't give me the bonus items because they said it wasn't their promotion and the items were scanning at full price. After arguing with them for about an hour, it turns out that if you refund your online purchase, and then rescan all the items, it automagically brings the price of everything down to $189.

        Hat off to them! While they clearly underestimated demand they are trying their best to get this sorted. Unlike Dick Smith who just cancels orders in similar situation.

        I don't mind if I get mine a week or two late as long as they honour the price this is still a brilliant deal.

    Bought one as click and collect on Friday morning, got a phone call from the store same afternoon, saying they don't have it in their store and have secured one for me at a different store (Carindale, QLD), picked up the mixer on Sunday afternoon. The staff wasn't aware of the freebies, I pointed out it was advertised on their current cateloge. I was first told I had to contact Breville, after reading the previous comments here. I told them, it is not via edemption offer and should be provided by the store. After waiting for like 10-15 mins for them to check, I was advised they have to order one set for me and will contact me once available, I was told should arrive before Christmas, so just have to wait for them to call.

    Thanks EasternCulture for the post and everyones comments. I have been thinking about getting one of these for years now, but was too expensive. :)

    • Hi, I would suggest to give the store you selected for pick up a call. They told me they sms me, that my order was ready for pick up from the 2nd store, but I never received the text, I actually rang them then find out the never received sms and was ready for pick up, so I went straight away to pick it up. In case, they mess up at the store and give my machine to someone else. Need to be more proactive in these kind of situations I guess. Their system is stuffed!!!!

  • I just went into Essendon JB today and ask about my Order. The lady said the same thing that my order has been picked up from Other store. I told her I haven't pick up anything and never receive " Ready for pick up " email from you. Who's picked up my order?
    Then she ask a guy from the back and told him what happen to my order, that guy double check the system and say my order has been transfer to Different store and they don't have any in store in Essendon. He will transfer back my order from Which it been transferred to and give me a call when it is ready for pick up.

    I wonder what happened to their system. Must be someone made mistake.

    I received the mixer on Tuesday, and sent an email via customer support asking about the ice-cream bowl.

    Today the store called me saying they found one icecream bowl & gingerbread house mould left and held it for me to pick up.

    Just logged into my JB-Hifi account and was surprised to see "1 X Delivery Shipped $189.00 Free Delivery".

    Pretty good service by JB and by Breville considering the massive balls up and good to see by other posts they appear to be honoring the bonus bowls etc.

    • If you contact Breville, the response you'll get is that it a in-store level promotion. Best bet would to be call up the store which your mixer was delivered from and explain the situation. I called Breville up yesterday and they said that JB Hi-Fi should be getting more stock of the promotion items.

      • It's most certainly from JB end. I rang the store my mixer came from Thurs arvo. After they realised it was their stuff up i received the rest by courier yesterday (Friday).

        • Well I received the ice cream bowl set today via courier. No contact from JB Hi-Fi since that email above. Nonetheless that makes me happy now.

    Picked up mine on Thursday in Browns Plains QLD and the staff said that they'll ring me once ice cream maker have stock in store. But I walked around the store and found about 5pcs. of the freebies. I spoke to the manager and they managed to give me my freebies on the spot including the gingerbread house mould.

Would be stuck with a handmixer because we cant afford a good stand mixer that is priced 300++ Well done OP! I hope I can return the favor someday in the ozbargain community.
