    From T&C:

    Month-to-month contract is defined by the calendar month. Cancel with 28 days notice.

    So to get it for zero cost, you would have to order then cancel within 3 days, otherwise you will be up for the next month.

      First Month FREE applies to New Activations and Port In’s to Exetel only. Monthly Plan Fee is waived in first whole month of service activation (excess charges will apply). Pro rata charges and any excess charges will apply in first partial month.

      So if you order now, you would be up for 1/30th of the monthly fee.

  If you are looking at the top end of those then Optus have a sim only deal: $30 for 7Gb for 6 months, after that it goes back to $60/month. However, it's a month to month plan so I can't see why you couldn't then just find a different deal after 6 months!
