Decent price on the 2 pack Arlo system. The cameras alone usually sell for $200 each.
Don't forget Cashrewards for an additional 3% off

Did you try to add this item to your cart? 3 sold last hour so there is stock.
Yeah I purchased 2 units successfully about half an hour ago
found out why.. address had been set to outside of Australia on Ebay and it triggered a ) stock SOLD OUT not a "WE don;t ship outside Auatralia" warning
ALl ok now
Been tempted to buy this to add on to my current system, works out cheaper than buying two add-on cameras.
I was hoping for an eBay code for office works because they're selling a 3 pack of add on cameras for $597 which would've brought it down to $159 per camera for that pack.
Can I ask how you're finding it so far? How long have you had it? My main concern is the battery life which seems to get mixed reviews.
For my situation it's fine. I don't need one that records constantly, I set the schedule for when I'm at home or away from home. Mounting them around the home is the easiest thing ever, no network or power cables to worry about.
I've had it for about a month now and it's still showing full bars of batteries.
I bought rechargeable ones to try out after these die so I'll see which ones are best.
If you're going to put one out the front of your house then I'd only recommend it if you definitely have a way to point it away from the street if a lot of cars drive past. Otherwise you'll get a lot of clips.
I point mine at the driveway and front yard but cut out the street.
Funny thing, the free 7 day 1GB service that I'm on hasn't actually cleaned out my clips after 7 days.
Not sure why but I have clips from the very first day still available of the cloud.
Even if they cleaned it out after 7 days, it's enough time to review and download the important clips anyway.
I have them too. For a couple of weeks now. I have six cameras set up so have had to move up to the paid subscription level.
Works pretty well but the main issue is the fact that it needs movement to start recording and then has about a 5 second delay. Images are great quality though and the app and email notifications make it pretty easy.
Batteries are pretty expensive - I found Bunnings the cheapest for the Energizer 123 which from memory was $9 compared to $11 at DSE and JB.
The night vision is pretty clear too.
We will probably get a couple more cameras. I have a spare base station (I bought 1 new 3 camera pack and a returned 3 camera pack because it was cheaper than buying the cameras individually but cost me for new batteries) but don't know if I will need it. (You can add multiple base stations on the highest level subscription.
Its interesting when door to door salesman interact with the camera. Sometimes you see them practising their spiel, others turn and smile at the camera.
Also the cameras mount magnetically (unless using the external mount you have to buy seperately. I found that unless you are worried about someone stealing the camera, you can use the provided mounts outside, or simply attach it to something metal. For one of the cameras, I found a metal bracket in a perfect position for a camera and just put the camera against it and it holds on tight.
So overall apart from the delay we are pretty happy. It probably isn't perfect for every situation, but being able to set it up myself and not worry about wiring or power and generally have it just work is good enough for us.
@psychomagic:
"I have a spare base station"
You should then have 2 free accounts linked up to 3 cameras each.
Then you won't need a paid subscription.
@psychomagic: Thanks guys! I didn't realise the batteries were so expensive. $9 x 4 every 'few weeks' as some people are saying is very expensive.
I plan to only have mine at the front door which doesn't see much traffic so hopefully the batteries will actually last the 4-6 months Netgear claims. I agree that these cameras aren't perfect but I think it'll suit my needs for now.
Anybody has used the below brand?

Netgear seem to still be advertising the cashback promotion on their homepage even though the purchase date and claim dates have both passed. A bit misleading on their part.
Each camera requires 4 X special battery. Each battery costs around $15 dollars. Each set of batteries only last for around 3 to 4 weeks. Until the issue is being fixed, it's just a prototype!!!
I bought the 2 camera set at this price a few days ago and they work pretty well so far. Also purchased the two different types of mounts but they aren't really necessary.
Worth reading the reviews on Amazon. This system has too many issues for me. Also worth noting that it doesn't appear to record unless it senses motion - so you only see what happened from the alarm point, and not prior. (I have a Foscam camera set up with Zoneminder software, running with a five-second motion analysis buffer so that it stores the 5 secs prior to each event as well.)
I would wait for second or third generation of wireless security cameras
Out of stock already
last time when ebay 20% off + netgear $50 cashback +cashreward 2.5% cashback, bring it below $300
Note you need another mount for exterior mounting - sold separately.
