Seagate >> You send it to a Sydney address and DHL ship it to Singapore for warranty replacement
This is why i always prefer seagate. As soon as it arrives in Sydney warehouse, they send you the replacement.
@easternculture: I have 2 Seagate external HDDs that kicked the bucket and 2 WD ones that are as perfect as the day I bought them.
Also, you know if have to send your HDD for fixing you'll lose any data you had in them that you couldn't access, right? I would rather buy a better product than a cheaper one that breaks a lot, sorry.
I have had WD that failed in 3 months and Seagate's that are still running perfectly for 3 years with no faults
