  • I don't think this ships to Australia.
I can add it to the basket, but when I try to estimate shipping, I get an error.
Some of the items in your order cannot be shipped to the selected address. Please select a new address to see your estimated order total.

    • Working alright here. I'm not sure what the problem could be.

It's not available for delivery to Amazon Lockers/Pickup locations. Is that where you're trying to get it delivered?

      • Sorry, my mistake. It gives the error message on the estimate, but it does allow me to go to the check out.
        Thanks.

  • How'd you get $146 Delivered?
At the Place Order stage it comes up with

    Order Summary
    Items: AUD 144.29
    Shipping & handling: AUD 7.29
    Total before tax: AUD 151.58

    Order total: AUD 151.58

    AUD go down?

Edit: I assume you order in USD on amazon?

    • Amazon's currency conversion rates are a bit of a rip-off.

You can get a better exchange rate by paying in US dollars using a debit or credit card which doesn't charge foreign currency conversion fees.

The total will end up being roughly $146 AUD.

      • Righto, thanks for the clarification.
Currently using mebank mastercard credit card (1.5% conversion fee), which I believe is still better than the amazon conversion which is like 3%?

        • It looks like both of ME Bank's MasterCards charge 2.5%.

On their factsheets here and here, they list a

          • 1.5% International transaction fee
          • 0.2% MasterCard conversion fee
          • 0.8% MasterCard cross border fee

          Sneaky.

        • @Bupkis: Wow that is very sneaky indeed. Thanks for pointing that out! Now I'm stumped on whether to order in AUD or USD…

edit: actually 2.5% still seems better than the amazon conversion I believe

  • @crazyLad: Not a whole lot of difference either way.

Even at $151.58, I think that's still cheaper than it's ever been.

Maybe you can use this to get the price down? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/217094

  • Yeah I believe it's the cheapest price I've seen.
Oh cheers I shall have a look at it now!
