Xbox Spring Sale - For Xbox Live Gold Members

480

Microsoft are having a "Spring Sale", which I think is in line with the "Black Friday" sale in the US. Might be for Xbox Live Gold Members only.

All games are from the AU store and listed in AUD. I haven't listed DLC / Addons and I've also skipped the items that didn't appear to be on sale.

When I logged in on my xbone I also saw a Forza 6 and Gears of War bundle for 95.

  • +5

    Evolve is still $23.98 overpriced.

    • Evolve needed to turn F2P long ago ;)

  • +1

Metro is a good deal considering its two games

  • Is Lego Jurassic world 60% off or the price listed in the table?

    • The prices are already discounted. I might have stuffed up some of the calculations. LEGO Jurassic World is actually 40% off. I'll update the table.

      • +1

Was hoping it was 60%! Lego games seem to be holding their value a lot these past couple of years. Still hard to find Lego Marvel for under $40

  • So happy, been waiting for the Handsome Collection to hit the beautiful 40 mark!!! Does anyone think if Project CARS will go lower someday?

    • So this is a good price for the collection I take it?

Only just got an XB1 so haven't been watching prices.

It the Pre-Sequel (and DLC) alone worth $40? Have played BL2 to death already so won't touch it.

      • Yup, I'm not too sure how good the deals on the physical copy of the game has been as I was just after the Digital one, and since it release I've kept an eye out and this so far has been the best deal at 40 AU. I am yet to play the Pre-Sequel so sorry can't comment on it just yet, but considering its a Borderlands game, must be awesome! Also it got all the DLC as you mention. If you aren't looking to play BL2 at all, than maybe 40 is a bit steep for just the Pre-Sequel, however I don't think they are available separate, maybe some time down the road? However if you are gunning to play it, maybe it's worth it for 40 with all DLC!!

Or just perhaps grab the last gen version, it's like 10 dollars (no dlc) at Kmart I think (if they have stock), if you don't mind dusting of the ole 360!

For those looking at a console bundle, I just grabbed from JB Hifi the Fallout 4 bundle which included Fallout 4, Fallout 3, Witcher 3 and Starwars Battlefront for $499 which I thought was a pretty good deal. https://www.jbhifi.com.au/features/games/console-bundles/

    • Not bad, nice work!

  • +2

Ugh, the only one I was going to buy was Halo The Master Chief Collection, but turns out it's $39 at Target.

    • +1

It was $20 at Target for ages…thankfully I bought then!

I'd check instore first, you never know your luck in the big city! ;)

  • Missus is gonna go nuts that the Telltale Collection is so low again. Looks like another expensive gaming week lol

  • Glad I bought a couple of the $100 gift cards at 25% off last week. Finally time to get Dark souls 2.

Does anyone know if Red Dead Redemption has been confirmed as coming to xbox one backwards compatible?

    • No, according to this list, it's not yet backwards compatible on the Xbox One.

  • I just got the xbox one, any recommend any games that is priced really well? Otherwise wouldnt it be better to buy the disc and resell it after you are bored of the game?

    • Metro Redux
      Borderlands the handsome collection

Are probably the best valued in the list. I think more games will be added on the 28th, says Major Nelson.

Haven't played it yet but Takes from Borderlands seems like a good deal for 13. Not sure how Teletale games are like though. Will probably give it a shot for 13.

      • +1

Tales from the borderlands is really good

      • Borderlands handsome collection are less than $50 at aus stores, with actual disc.
Worth it if u plan to re sell.

If u plan to buy and sell games, perhaps consider rental gaming like, getgaming, com.au or video ezy, etc

With Microsoft, I've hardly ever seen a game you can get cheaper digitally than physically, before considering the resale value. Ever so rarely do we get a good digital sale for Xbox.

  • Forza Horizon 2 standard - 10th Anniversary Edition is just $34.95. For anyone out there like myself, who has already got all the special content and just wants to switch from disc to digital copy at a decent price.

    • Is this game similar to nfs, in which not too technical? I dont like racing games that are too technical, i just one to smash like burnout or nfs underground…

      • +1

not quite as 'silly' as burnout but probably still suits your needs. street racing, easy handling/controls and plenty of modification. and a damn nice looking game

      • Yep, to add to what Mr kindface has said, The Forza "Horizon" branch of the game is more arcadish like racing and less technical. where as the "motorsports" version is more simulator like and more technical.

I would recommend trying out the free Demo to see if you like it or not. I was blown away by the demo and have been hooked since. Then again for the price now, it's worth getting regardless ;)

        • Thanks guys, I'll have a look at the demo. Yeah that's the word I'm looking for, arcadish, not too technical.

  • Man, I can't believe how crap Microsoft are with their digital pricing. They're where Sony were 5 years ago. Sure 40/50/60% off is nice but when the RRP is still $100 a year after release it's total BS.

  • The pricing are cheaper in US store.

For example Mordor goty is $20 usd.

For xbox one, you need to change your location and restart the console.

Your local credit card wont work however..

  • Its bizare how expensive deadpool still is

    • It's because (I think) physical copies were sold, then removed from store shelves a year or so ago.

  • Titanfall, Batman, reddead all great value on xb360.

    Some great value there.

  • Does anyone know if its worth getting Killer Instinct season 2 ultra addition now? or waiting for a pack with season 3 included?
