    I had a SGIC car policy for my nearly brand new car which was struck from behind. SGIC made the whole process a misery from start to finish. They refused to replace damaged parts saying that they were good enough, they tried to reduce what they were fixing. Considering they weren't even paying for this i was blown away. In the end I went direct to the other person insurance company. They couldn't be more helpful. They fixed everything without complaint, gave me a free rental car while they fixed it. Was great considering i wasn't even their customer. I ended up cancelling with SGIC (btw they charge a cancellation fee) and moved to the other company.
