So cheap! Limit of 1 per person. Starter yield of 500 pages, normally 1200 pages out of a toner.

          Still not bad for a laser printer though. Just not as good as we were hoping. :)

          If the toner could do more pages like the Brothers, it'd be better.

    You are better off buying 5 printers than 1 printer and a toner cartridge. The toner is $75 for 1200 pages.

    The starter cartridge is 500 pages. So for maybe $100 one deal gets you 1700 prints and other gets you 2500 and 4 spare printers.

        It was more a theoretical musing than a real strategy.

        The pricing of printers and toners is screwed up.

        I have a brother printer with a 700 page starter I think, I rarely print so when I finish the cartridge I will buy a new printer.

        Well that is after I do the trick on the web to get a few hundred more pages when the printer driver tells me it is empty.

          Agree entirely. I have a $29.99 Brother still chugging away. I'll get one of these Ricohs and put it away until the Brother is ready to meet its maker.

    These are seriously the worst printers I've ever encountered… Feed problems, terrible print quality - you are really getting what you pay for!!

    Edit: Thought this was the SP110 - doubt much has changed though, if anything. :P

      Clearly SP112 is far superior otherwise it wouldn't be a higher number model. Which is why we need to wait another 84 years before windows have a chance to better their Windows 98 operating system.

          The reason why it was suggested, was the price of the ink was lower than the cost of the postage. Order the ink, no postage. Also if you happened to have that ink printer yourself, win win.

          You order the ink, you get free postage

          INK costs $12.00

          You save $2.45 by ordering the INK.

          And unfortunately anyone ordering this printer, would probably never replace the toner, ie they would buy another low cost laser printer.
