What kind of troubles did you have with yours? I've used similar ones from eBay and they all have worked fine for me.
It doesn't stick well at all and the part that holds your phone is too tight to hold my xperia z2
Ah fair enough. I was thinking of grabbing it as a spare, but with your comments and others, I might pass.
My similar looking $5 eBay one's joint was not stiff enough to stay in position so it would keep moving changing position due to the weight of the phone when the car went over bumps in the road. I think there was a screw that could be tightened to fix that but I have since thrown in out because the suction cup worked initially but after a handful of removals for adjustment it started to loose grip and fall out. I think you could also stretch the internal spring to address that but again you had to be handy to work out how to fix it. So IMO this kind of phone car mount can be made to work but it is hardly foolproof. For $3 I'd buy it again now that I know some tricks to make it work but I have since bought a more sturdy $10 car mount which, by the way, was not perfect either and also required so fiddling to work.
I can relate, I bought the same one twice, at full price thinking the first one was just a bad one, and I had lost the receipt. Turns out the second one was just as bad.
These kind of holders look simple but it does require quality manufacturing. Get a more expensive one and you will be happier. I paid $20 in BigW and my holder holds my super heavy Lumia 1520 perfectly well.
Don't be fooled by those super cheap Sh!t. If an item price is normally very cheap compared to similar products in market, then it can't be good. We should not encourage those crapy manufacturers continue to contribute to our landfills.
@ITveteran: If you're after an excellent mount, I can highly recommened exogear.com, cheaper on eBay than their site. Made in South Korea. I have 3 of the Exogear Exomount 2, about $25 each.
@malouphix: Agree. South Korean products generally are far better quality than the Chinese.
@ITveteran:
Yes especially plastics.
I got one from Banggood for a higher price and it is not able to hold phone together,
This is true - my friend has one and he said it's a waste of money. He should have just bought a cuppa instead.
I bought this style holder from coles $10 and it does a great job on with heavy 5.5 in ZenFone 2.
Thanks, I saw another bargain of it for a bit more than $3 and saw negative comments about it and was tempted to buy its ince it was $3
Mifa m5 Bluetooth speaker sold out Aspley QLD and nearby stores
Cheers
So the vodafone 4g wireless thingy has 11gb to use over 4 months?
Yes, if you activate the sims sequentially.
Great, thanks
But it doesn't have to be activated at the same time right?
This will include two Sims…
- one SIM with 3gb to use for 30 days after activation.(included in the box)
- second SIM with 8gb to use for 90 days after activation.(supplied separately)
VF sims will not expire unless they are activated.

That is just a SIM card..
Wonder how easy is it to unlock the Vodafone 4G Modem?
It's unlocked, tried Telstra SIM and its working fine.
Specs show it doesnt support high speed 700Mhz Band for 4GX unfortunately.. Give it a miss.. :(
Getting it for the extra gigs of mobile data.
Good deal. The only comment I woud make is from experience the Cygnett Drive time Car Mount is not a good phone holder. The twisting locking mechanism always comes loose and the whole thing just drop and bounce off everywhere in your car. Not a good thing to happen while driving on the road.
Ok, so the car mount sucks… Anyone recommend a good one then?? :)
Kenu Airframe
anything for a larger screen, Kenu Airframe has a max spec of 5"
Note 4 = 5.7" screen
Thanks!
The same page mentions the Airframe+. Try that.
@GreenGuava: Not cheap. But I guess that's the premium you have to pay.
Not the brand name but found it here for ~$5 AUD:

I've been using an iOttie Easy One Touch for around 18 months and it's still going strong. No problem in the heat or rough roads.
Does anyone have the mifa m5 speaker? Wonder if it is any good.
i'm also wondering if anyone has one could comment.
I don't have one but I can still comment. See :P Refer to cornbeefs' comment
Bought one last time they were $48.00.For the money I was quite surprised how good they sound.
My granddaughter was having a birthday so I brought her one too.Unbeknownst to me see already had a Beats Bluetooth speaker but she prefers the Mafia M5(maybe she's just saying that to make me happy)
I'm looking for one for my g4… recommendations welcome!
does anyone know of a mount that fits the iphone 6+?
doesnt matter if its a window or air vent mount as long as it props it up for methe ipad one im using is a bit too big and covers half my vision lol
http://www.ebay.com.au/ulk/itm/281783165344
Fits with width but try to stick it so that the bottom of your phone is sort of resting on your dash as the iphone 6+ is too big and heavy, it tilts the phone down (sort of like looking down on the screen from birds eye view)
Yeh this cygnett one is garbage with the twist lock suction.
I would suggest the cygnett dash view which i just got minefrom the last dick smith sale.
I think it was about $9.50 ish.
These are the ones you want as it just has the one locking switchy thing.
I normally put adrop of water on the suction cap to give it that extra suck.
Never falls off!!Got the following message from Harvey Norman Nunawading.
Is anyone else getting this message? Should I buy from another Harvey Norman store?
Good morning,
Unfortunately these items are not available for back order as indicated online They have now been removed from the website.
Apologies for the inconvenience, and I will arrange a refund now for any monies paid.
Thanks for this post. I went in store and I've ordered a 4g wifi modem to come in a few days.
Don't buy the $3 mount. I bought it for $5 and it doesn't even work, waste of any money at all
