I grabbed these from Harvey Norman in the recent special - Four H3's and One H5 - very cool around the house set-up all on the wifi network with the ability to play on one or all speakers at once - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/215653

    • Hi Bomber, I was looking for something and came across these. Do you need the LG Bridge for the added $78 or can you use your existing normal wifi/router?

      Cheers.

According to this Gizmodo review, it looks like you need the bridge if you're going wi-fi.

        • Thanks, That's what I thought, but didn't want to spend the extra if not needed. :)

@Freek: As long as you have one connected to your router via Ethernet, you don't need the bridge.
So I've got the H5 in my lounge connected to my router, with the other four H3's working off Wi-Fi

Oh, Excellent! Saved me, Was just about to grab the bridge!!

  • These things should be hanged at the corner of walls

Any word on the actual audio quality?

    • H3's sound is comparable to Play1, if anything, H3 is warmer - but for the price it is no brainer, music system AND BT speakers in one unit, under $100.

Dont need the bridge i got mine hooked directly to wifi without ethernet

  • I would def pick up this system if i hadn't already spent over $1500 on Play 5s and Play 1s :(

    • I would check Denon Heos instead.

      • That is so much more expensive than the LG.

        • 2 x Heos 5 + 1 x Heos 1… $1757 if you pay RRP.
About $257 more than ssjmark payed for Sonos setup.
So… it is within the same price bracket.:)

  • Harvey Norman have it half price several times just wondering how good is the sound. LG a bit worry.

  • Just bought a couple of H5's. Even though I've got a Yamaha RX-A2000 receiver and Paradigm Monitor 11 speakers, I have to say, I'm quite happy with the sound (no where as great as the Paradigms, but still good). :)
I grouped the speakers together using the software, then connected them to my PC via bluetooth so I don't need to use any apps or the PC Musicflow software. This also means I can use windows media player or mediamonkey as a source. :)

I might have to seriously think about getting a couple more at the reduced price.
