Something seems a little 'off' in their Data usage calculator. It really seems to overestimate what you would use.
I think you're right, however they probably count both uploads and downloads. For some reason they also weighted the song downloads and photo uploads a bit high.

best recommendation to anyone thinking of buying a 3g dongle, is find someone with one & borrow it for an hour or two where you would use the device. typically the signal might be not so great & fall back to GPRS/GSM network (which is slower then dialup thx to wireless latencies). additionally, theres a risk of the service being oversold in the hope users only use it 5mins a day. better to test it out, before paying alot for next to nothing.

I have been a mobile internet user for 3 years or so as i travel for my work, Vodafone are great - in certain areas. Other areas they can barely pick up gprs. I have a prepay Voda and a contract 5gb Virgin card so it covers me in most places between them.
