  • damn where are the 65 n 70inch ones.. :P

    • They had 65" for about $2050 (with cashback) when they started the sale. Sold out in the second day :(

  • +1

Yea! Want to see good deals on 60inch and 65 inch tvs :)

  • Damn it!! Recently bought the 50" Sony for $1200 during ebay's last 20% sale. Could have gotten the 55" for the same price ;_;

  • Hisense 65K321UW 65"(164cm) UHD LED LCD 100Hz Smart TV NEW $1796 good deal or not ?

    • Well it's selling for $2499 at Bing Lee so you'll save ~$700

Don't forget cashback = More savings!

  • TCL 65" FHD for $1438 + Shipping seems like a good deal to me? Or is the brand no good?

    • +1

TCL is fine the only problem i see is the 50hz so not so good for fast scenes, sports or gaming

      • I mainly watch free to air, will this matter?

        • Na you should be good. If you had them side by side you'd see it but for that price it's pretty good

        • So you're saying 100hz will improve the picture on free to air tv?

        • dont buy TV with 50Hz, you will regret. I used to have 50Hz though it was in 40inch. In 65 inch - it would be worse. You will see noticeably the different if you watch Sports (i.e. fast moving)

        • @luke73: 100%

        • But isn't free to air tv broadcast at 50 or 60Hz?

  • +1

Does anyone have any experience with the Panasonic and can comment on it? Haven't found a review online except one on Shopbot

    • It's hard to find reviews on any of the TV'S Because they are all new 2015 models

      • True true, the Sony has quite a few though.

      • Hi Trent
We need some new 55-60" TV deals bro :)
        For Samsung / Sony TV's!

    • 2 hdmi ports, a real bitch

      • +1

not a real bitch. real ozbargainers pass this thru an amplifier which has as many hdmi ports as u want.

      • I have a HTPC and a PS4, not much need for anymore but it's certainly a limiting factor.

        • Yeah same plus foxtel. I did have a switch from jaycar but pain in ass easier to unplug ps4

  • Sony or Samsung

  • Is hisense a good brand ?

    Thinking of getting a

Hisense 65K321UW 65"(164cm) UHD LED LCD 100Hz Smart TV NEW $1796

    Any thoughts on this tv?

    • I would want to see it first, you never know with brands like that

  • +1

Now just waiting for the 95inch TVs.

    • ditto. (seriously).

  • Is there any advantage to getting the Sony over the Panasonic software wise?

  • +2

Thank you. Been looking for a decent 50" TV. Panasonic fits the bill. Awesome price.

  • Would it be safe to assume that the Panasonic one is the australian version of the TX-50CS520?

They seem pretty similar and have very decent reviews all around. Main issue so far seems to be having just 2 HDMI ports.

    • imo CS610A is advanced than the CS520 and it boasts the latest Firefox OS

      • Can I ask you how do you know it has Firefox OS? From the little info I could find it seems that the middle range TV's didn't get the Firefox OS update. Either way, I bought one so will update over the weekend when I pick it up.

        • I agree the Panasonic website is not much useful. But this particular model is part of 2015 release. http://www.cybershack.com.au/news/23-new-panasonic-tvs-launc…

You might wanna search for CS610 which is how it is marketed. The prefix A is for Australia and Z for newzealand.

        • @rshaik: it hast the myHome OS instead of Firefox OS. Altough I'm not too worried about that at this price

  • +1

    Great finds Trent86.

  • I bought the Samsung 55" ju7000 when the sale started. It was 2295 when the sale started and it's now 1995. Any chance I can get a refund on the dropped price?

    • Did you get it on credit card? A lot of them have price drop protection.

      • No I got it through PayPal on my bank account.

I had this problem with a Samsung washing machine in the last sale. I contacted GG ebay store and they advised me to take it up with the store that I dealt with where I picked it up from as it is up to the individual store owners. When I called my store they refunded the difference immediately over the phone so i guess i was lucky. Remember its at their discretion because their 30 day price match policy does not apply to their own prices.

      • +2

I went into the store and talked to them. They price matched immediately. No fuss whatsoever. Kudos to the Good Guys store.

  • When does this promo end? T&C's link on ebay is not working.

Bought the 55 inch Sony today, Thanks OP. Great price.

    • Bum. Good Guys out of stock in my area now. Have to wait a bit to pick up.

  • To anyone who bought the Panasonic, mind commenting on the picture, input lag, etc…?

    • Sadly can't help you much. I bought it as an upgrade from a 48“ Soniq and although it's only been one night, I'm loving it. The picture quality is so much better. Specially the colour of people and the dark tones.
However, it's just my very subjective and uneducated view and I have no idea about input lag.
I did notice a bit of stuttering on scenes with a lot of action on the screen, but I don't know if it's the TV's fault or my old laptops fault.

  • Bought the ju7000, hopefully did the cash rewards right!

  • +1

For anyone still reading this today. I am looking at grabbing the Samsung UA55JU6400W, looks like a good deal to me @ $1330.40 when you combine the new $100 cashback that started today. Plus another 4% Cashrewards.

  • Does anyone know if the shipping address for purchases with TGG needs to be same as the PayPal address? I need it shipped to another address.

  • I think that the shipping address is the one you submit with eBay. To be safe I'd change both though.

  • Finally decided I'd go with the UA55JU7000W and as I am finishing the checkout process I get an error saying no stock left for pickup. So $35 to get it delivered, does anyone know who Good Guys use as courier?
I just don't want to get in the situation where a courier will only try to deliver it during business hours, when I work and then I have to pick it up from a depot during business hours only. As I have a mate who has just had this exact problem with a TV purchase from Dick Smith.

  • Are you sure you can't just delay pick up? That's what happened to me today. New stock coming in this week

    • How do I get that option? Do I just order it with delivery and then contact them to say I want to pickup and refund delivery?

      • I didn't get the message you got. When I ordered it said it was in stock at the store I chose but the next morning they called to tell me they didn't have any in store.
