I am not sure how good a deal this is but I received this offer in my Email today.

Personally, I love Zoom player as it is the only free player I have used that will start back where you left off when watching something and going back to it later after closing it.

The major new feature in version 11 is the face-list that has been given to the media library with the new "Thumbnail view" mode. Thumbnail view is so much
more intuitive than the previous "List view" mode, it has become the new default (which can still be disabled).

A lot of work went into ensuring the Media Library's new media scraping code (grabbing screenshots and meta-data from media in the background) is smooth and
stable, especially when dealing with incomplete or corrupted media files.

The new interface is simple, flexible, sophisticated and optimized to run smoothly on even lower end 7" windows tablets.

The media library documentation has been rewritten to introduce the new thumbnail view feature and it now includes quick usage guide screenshots illustrating
how the thumbnail view interface is used as well as a few usability tricks to help make the experience more enjoyable.

Beyond that, Zoom Player starts up about 40% faster, The default skins (Onyx & Alba) now features mouse-hover animations to draw the eye's attention, improving
the user experience and customizable fullscreen navigation skins background images can now be selected without leaving fullscreen navigation mode. ~~~

  • It seems you need to buy the MAX version to be able to play blu-ray movies. At $94.95 (before the 33% off) for that no thanks. Who are they kidding themselves thinking that aussies will pay that much?.

I still have Zoom Player Pro 10 that i got on a windowsdeal.com 100% off giveaway. Might try that some time.

    • The 94.95 price is for unlimited upgrades for life. The 34.95 is for 1 year of upgrades.

      • Doh. Yes you're right. I assume that means all future versions would come as free.

But got to be careful. Is that an actual lifetime or the lifetime of the PC. Some companies are sneaking selling so called lifetime but it's just the lifetime of the device that it's being used on. My bet it's lifetime of the PC that it's first activated on. Can't see them honouring free upgrades for the rest of a persons life time.

  • Used to use that but VLC and Gom pretty much do it all
