That can't be a good price on the RX100mk3. I felt I overpaid at $625 about a year ago.
you paid $625 a year ago? it was released in June last year.. you sure your's is the Mark3? Did you get a super duper special deal?
JB Hi-Fi had a heavy discount on this camera late last year with a bonus $150 voucher as well. If you treat the voucher as an additional discount (those who planned to buy something else at JB anyway might have some justification for doing so) the camera was actually a little cheaper than $625 for people who haggled a bit as well. That's the best deal we've ever seen on the Mark III I think.
Sorry, actually I did get the mk2, as it's generally acknowledged that it's slightly better underwater than the mk3.
And it was because I paid that much vs the mk3's best price that I felt ripped off.
