But they sell mirrors, so you'll be fine
my kids prefer cards to mirrors.
Connoisseur ice cream (chocolate and Sicilian blood orange) FTW!
Clear the freezer, boys, time to stock up!
Thanks Trent.Actually we were a bit disappointed by these, just like a giant Jaffa really, not much Blood Orange to it :(
Thanks
I miss the photos ……
Telstra rush can be unlocked?
Where is the Telstra 3g pocket WiFi in the catalogue?
I accidently left an empty Pyrex casserole dish on an electric hotplate once.
Easy thing to do - wasn't obvious that i'd left it on.It exploded - like a bomb - all that energy getting released in a split second.
It's not just the sharp edges of the glass that could have blinded me.
It would have cooked my eyeball.I don't touch the stuff anymore.
Pyrex have a warning on the package, but it's subdued.Plenty of other alternatives…
Someone negged a safety warning??
What a 24 carat tool.Good to know but the real danger here was the left on electric hotplate that "wasn't obvious" it was on.
I'm talking about something like this.
On or off, they look pretty much the same.
If you think you're incapable of making the same type of error, you're delusional.
Is this when people say "instructions unclear; got my **** stuck in the fan"?
and that's when I slipped over and landed on the cucumber, your honour
Similar thing can happen to Corelle when it's mistreated. More resistant to breaking than porcelain and the like, but when it does break, the results can be really nasty.
those alternatives, would they have suffered the same consequence of your clumsiness? how unlucky that you had a pyrex when it happened, now you want to taint their reputation.
I consider it an inherently dangerous item.
Lot of short-sighted commenting here.
I read this sort of crap a lot on OB - obviously not everyone has a clue about standard OH&S - it's all about reducing risk. But hey, if you think you, or a kid of yours, or a visitor to your place, will never make the same mistake, go ahead and buy up. No skin off my nose.
My Pyrex container snapped in two when heated in the microwave.
A corelle bowl snapped in two in the dishwasher.
Both were clean breaks with no splinters, although the edges were razor sharp.
I have heard of glass shower screens exploding but these have been rare.
I think it has something to do with the hardening process subjected to minute imperfections and surface impurities in conjunction with microscopic scratches.About a year ago, I had a Corelle plate sitting on a bench that hadn't been touched for at least an hour. Heard a rather loud crack and found the plate had split in two.

Was a nearly clean break, with a few slivers about. Main worry is how spontaneous it was.
This is quite different to what i experienced.
If you heat them evenly, such as in an oven, then you're fine.
But on a hotplate it's uneven - it gets hotter, and hotter, with some parts getting hotter than others, until the stresses internal to the glass are simply too great and the whole thing suddenly fractures.
I'm serious - this thing exploded, like a f'n bomb.
Never again.
Can the Telstra pocket WiFi be unlocked?
I imagine DC unlocker could probably do it for pretty cheap: https://www.dc-unlocker.com/
