The moment i read that it doesn't have touch screen, i passed. I know for the price, the specs are good for day-to-day computing. But having experienced [Dell Studio One](http://www1.ap.dell.com/au/en/home/desktops/desktop-studio-o… ""), i think i'll wait for the touch screen feature…
I'm not sure what's up with these nettops or hybrid PCs. If one thing breaks then the whole thing's out, plus they're not as good value. If you need compact just get a low profile or small form factor desktop pc, or a laptop.
Unless it's amazingly dirt cheap I don't think I could ever really vote positive for a computer like this.
The X1200 Series have H264 accelerated decoding. I have one in my HTPC and it can play 720p and 1080p fine with a low power / energy efficient x2 CPU. Even decoding 1080p doesn't push it beyond 30-40%. Point being this isn't a bad unit at all, CPU is definitely a little weak but the intg. video is quite decent.
Would this be available at all MSY locations, or only selected ones? Can't see anything on the linked page about it.

I know for a fact that OW does price match MSY. If they will honor this is another story, but if you threatened to go higher or just got p***** i think you wouldn't have a problem..

Office Works Noarlunga price matched MSY, and then knocked another 5% off the price. About to try out the machine and see if it's any good.

Ok, I've run my custom application that I want to use on this machine. It's CPU intensive, and the result is this BenQ is mariginally faster than a Pentium 4 3Ghz and a bit slower than a Pentium M 1.5Ghz.
So overall it matches the processing speed of good PCs 4 to 5 years ago. It's not fast, but very usable for web browsing, word processing, etc.
The screen is very nice, and at this price getting a full 1920x1080 resolution LCD is exceptional. The 160Gb hard drive is a 2.5" 5400rpm laptop drive from Toshiba, meaning it's considerably slower than desktop 7200rpm drives.
It seems like OzBargain readers raided Office Works stores for the MSY price -5% instead of going to MSY :-) Three Office Works stores were sold out today with someone placing a unit on hold late this morning. I later found MSY Adelaide had 15 left, so I'd expect this special to pop up again.
The i221 is a run out model (according to Office Works).
