50% off is still $19.99? This should be the regular price for a digital season of a TV show.

    • If you'd prefer blu-ray or dvd they're on sale at JB hi-fi- seasons 1-5 $45.59 each, season 6 $53.59, season 7 $68.78 and season 8 $64.78. Discounted iTunes cards can make the digital version cheaper still. I prefer digital because it is easier and quicker than dvd/blu-ray, can't lose or scratch, and I don't have to store the physical discs.

I was thinking $20 a season was still a too much and if it was a bit less I'd consider biting.

But then your comment reminded me I have $80 left from buying too many half priced itune cards from driving around to different Harvey Normans just because I could :)

      • I wasn't comparing it to physical media (which I agree, is on the expensive side), but when streaming costs ~$10 a month for all you can eat, $20 just seems too much for a single season. But if they were on sale for $10 each, to keep forever, it seems a hell of a lot more worthwhile.

I think if iTunes wants to remain competitive in the age of streaming, they should price more aggressively. It's not like Apple can't afford it.

I believe these are all on Netflix Australia if you are just looking to binge watch and not keep. Cost you $9 for a month.

    • Yes they are. Much cheaper unless you are a rabid fan. Netflix is missing a lot of stuff other stuff though.

  • Just showed one of the Season 8 (with Peter Capaldi) eps on Stan via our Apple TV this afternoon. All seasons are there. Some stuff I don't need Blu-ray, iTunes is good enough. If you are not a huge fan and don't need to own, then streaming is much cheaper! At least while it's available…
