  • Great deal, thanks OP!

  • Nice EC, thanks for sharing!

They've still got good numbers starting 04900

    • Does the sim card have a Mobile number assigned or do you choose one on activation

      • My Optus contract ends in a few days. I want to move to an Optus sim only plan, but first I want to port out instead of change my plan through Optus, because I am worried they might cancel my current number.
Can I port out using this simcard then port back to an Optus sim only plan in the same day?

        • depends how fast the porting goes through.

        • @easternculture:

Can it take more than 24 hours?

        • +1

          @tendollar:

It could. But usually its fast these days as log as you enter the right name and DOB.

I would advise you put the request in early morning

It only appears when you activate but I've got some really good ones it let's you choose until you are happy not like amaysim only a few and that's it.

        • I did get a few good ones from Amaysim, Consecutive numbers like 87654

        • +1

          @easternculture: Amaysim I got a 88858 number. :) was VERY surprised.

        • +2

@malouphix: You do know that the number reads "Wealth, wealth, wealth? No wealth!", don't you?

        • @alvian: It's like deal, deal, deal, no deal

        • I did a quick same day port optus-voda-optus it all worked well apart from the fact Vodafone were so inept that no one on Vodafone could no longer call me… After 3 months of trying to fix the issue with Vodafone I relented and ported back overnight before porting away again and it now works.

      • I hoping during activation, you will have the choice of porting your existing number or a new service number. Also, it doesn't allow you to choose which SIM card size when ordering. It would be interesting to see what SIM card size gets delivered.

        • Multi fit?

        • A lot of starter packs these days come with nano+micro+standard AKA Multi-fit.

    Thanks so much easternculture!

Isn't this been awhile already.. like few months old? And why the previous one get unpublished and this one not?

Lyca is very expensive hardly a bargain $39.90 unlimited calls that costs them few cents to put through and just 1 gig again costs them just few cents to buy wholesale. That's how TPG got rich they get them for cents in wholesale.

  • Thanks OP.

  • Now this is what I call a deal.

  • +1

Lyca & GT has almost identical web design!

  • Thanks, 3 sims on the way!

  • Would that make it so that you could pay only $60 for twenty gb of amaysim?

  • In GT mobile's site, it mentions PAC required before you can port number out to another provider. What is PAC?

    sween64 :Multi fit?

I doubt op who is asking above question really don't know the answer…These are very basic questions.

  • Just a heads up that the $2 Optus SIMs at Target can have a very short expiry - e.g. at the Broadway NSW store, they were all expiring on 1 Oct 2015 or 1 Nov 2015 - so that is 7 weeks at best before expiry.

I was going to buy 8 to match the number of Telstra SIMs I have left, for port-out port-back purposes, but with such a short expiry it only made sense to get one SIM.

  • The Woollies plan is absolute CRAP! Vaya have exactly the same plan for $18 per calendar month. So works out even cheaper.

  • They pulled the page.

we ozbargained the free sim offer lol

      • ROFL!

        That's a first!

They can't even give stuff away FOR FREE anymore!

        BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

How is this a deal? Lycamobile sim has always been free from lycamobile website. I see no deal here.

    • You've been around long enough to know the voting guidelines. If you reckon it's no deal and believe it belongs elsewhere, report it. Why neg it?

      • +1

Sorry revoked it. However, even if i report it, it won't get into threat as it has already attracted more votes.

If You think its not a deal move on!! thanks op
