  1kg Bokashi mix.

  Can it work without that? I hate to be locked into buying that all the time.

    Bokashi works by using the Bokashi mix to add microbes to break down the waste faster and without the need for oxygen. This produces less smells (it's not entirely odourless) and is designed to be stored in your kitchen or laundry or somewhere equally accessible. You could use it without the Bokashi mix, but then it would just be a compost bin and would smell a lot more.

  looks like it - without the special mix, its basically just a bucket with a lid
  (they say fill the bucket then just go put the somewhat fermented mix in the garden to finish decomposing - also sell a two bucket system so your scraps get a bit longer to ferment)
  meh get a worm farm - much more exciting :)

  Yes you need to keep buying the mix. You can however stretch it very far. From memory you can activate it? This yields lots more mix but is only usable for a certain time.

  I've had compost, a worm farm, and chickens. What interests me in Bokashi is the ammount of liquid fertiliser it yields.

  I completed the $15 survey, and it immediately gave me a discount code. The code however doesn't work (yet?).

  It also told me it would email me the code, and this hasn't happened yet.
