These have dropped in price recently at many of the big stores.
Not as good as the recent eBay sale but possibly attractive to someone who missed it.
They were $280+ a year ago? Samsung price holds like ipad now huh?
I highly doubt that's the case since they were only released in July of last year to begin with and retail for over $400. I think you're confusing it with one of the older galaxy tablets.
I bought mine for $360/370 ish in Nov last year, and iirc that was pretty damn cheap back then.
There was only ever 1 Deal for $287 - for the Tab S 8.4 16GB Wifi
The combined Good Guys price drop and then an eBay 20% off code made them $287

The only other sub $300 was TA's post where you needed AMex and had to combine 3 deals to get one for $298 from HN.

You can't say it like it's a common price, it's not.
Fair enough but even before the 20% discount TGG ebay sold it for $358 which is still $11 cheaper thanthis sale. That was like 9 months ago right? So either DSE sale sucks or this tablet is worth what DSE is asking for $369?
I think the price here is "ok" but that's it.
During the most recent eBay 20% deal the Tab S 8.4 was $342 around $333 after 2.5 % cash rewards.
Personally, I'm considering buying one but already knowing they were <$300 last year, I'd feel ripped off paying ~$350.
I'm playing the waiting game, since I already have 2 tablets, I'm in no hurry :)
I think you are referring to one of the eBay deals near Black Friday last year, which was an incredible deal (from TGG I think? not increasing the price before the 20% eBay promotion). I've not seen a deal coming even close to that deal since.
At least that's when I grabbed 10.5 inch version for 350 dollars.
That's the exact one I mentioned, just above you.
:P For some reason, I missed that… Fail by me I suppose.
That said, that price was amazing. I was up all night during the Black Friday for tablet deals (for my dad), it was better than all the deals I've come across during that time. Don't think we'd see that kind of price soon.
If we do see those prices I'll be upgrading from my Nexus 7 (2013).
I think I'd prefer to stay with the wide-screen format, rather than the 4:3 that everyone seems to be moving to,in tablets.
@nismo: It's likely to stay since the Nexus 9 is a reference tablet, therefore the 4:3 is the recommended ratio by Google.
They're all showing up as out of stock.
Same here.
Telstra deal was way better. My 10.5 tab s with 4g and a data share sim cost me $360 over 2 years.
Did they ever do a deal like that with the 8.4 Tab S ?
Not that i know of.
Thanks for that. I didn't miss out then, good to hear :) (only interested in the smaller of the two).
they float around the lower ends of $300 on ebay and gumtree
at this price brand new with warranty its quite good deal.
