    Nice looking? Sorry but no.

      What do you expect?

      • ALOT more if their apparently worth "$299", but more to the point, even if they were free, I would never be seen in them! Just my opinion, which is why I didn't neg it.

  • Step one "complete original order form" concerned this won't work with a printout.

    • It clearly says on the last page "printout"

  • worth $299?!

    • definitely not in this world

  • please allow 50 - 55 days from last day of promotion for delivery…

  • They're pretty ugly, but hey, free is free (or rather, $13 is $13).

I'm guessing they're better quality than the $20 sunglasses you find at your local pharmacy?

    • I think the pharmacy ones would be better to protect your eyes, whereas these might make your eyes look good whilst you go blind :)

so, the chocolate maker is branching out to sunglasses ?

  • +1

    They are highly unattractive.

Reminds me of the sort some loser law enforcement officer on some crazy reality TV show would wear — you know, the sort of guy who would taser an old lady for asking him to repeat what he said.

  • well 12.95 shipping already included the cost of sunglasses :)

  • +1

    Are they polarised? :)

    • +1

They will be once you are tasered ;-)

      • +1

I think they only taser 12 year old girls :(

I googled Ferrero sunglasses. couldnt really find out much about them. Does anyone know anything about the brand or quality. For $300 glasses i thought would be more info about them.

    • +1

No name brand trying trying to market themselves.

    Ugly?
    Are you serious?
They look awesome! (I suppose 'awesome' is highly subjective, but in my opinion they look like wayfarers. And I don't care WHO you are, but wayfarers, by definition, are awesome).

  • I would say that they are NOT worth the price claimed.

No-one is going to give away that much value for nothing.

  • hmmm, they look very similar to the "sports style" safety glasses you can buy at bunnings for a similar price. I use mine when cycling to stop the dry air from blowing in my eyes (and mowing the lawn lol) - Are they worth $299? nope, are they worth $12.99… maybe. Delivered, its not bad. However i'd probably still buy mine from bunnings, just for the reason i know they have met the Australian Standards for eye protection

    • Or due to a poorly designed system that allowed people rort it.

Indeed, Car-la-la has said that he has redeemed $500 worth of iTune vouchers. The mods must have deleted his comment.

I must say I'm not impresses at all by his action. Firstly he asked other people to provide him with a barcode of the product, then he goes out and redeem the offer 50 times which is clearly against the terms and conditions of the offer.

I doubt that he has 50 different addresses to put down as the offer states "1 per household", I again doubt that he went out and bought 50 packs of the pens. I presume that he just used the same barcode and redeem and offer 50 times.

There's a fine line between bargain hunting and exploiting an offer. And people like Car-la-la will lead to the reluctance of companies to have this type of promotion again as they are not getting any financial benefit out of it.

      • Woolworth should have stated in the catalogue that the offer is via redemption and for the first 2000 only. It was only stated that you get a $10 iTunes credit with the pens. Where's my voucher Woolies?!

edit: WTF is going on with the comment system today? It's all over the shop and it just posted my comment on the wrong deal.

    • Those bunnings ones also come transparent, and are what I wear in the lab… I think I paid 15 bucks for them!

    LOL $13 for those? Seriously?

  • +1

    not a freebie

    $299 zimbabwe dollars = 95c.

    That looks about right.

  • +1

Probably worth $1 in manufacturing costs and they just bring up the postage and handing to $13 to make a profit.

  • I actually took these people up on their offer. Foolish me. Sent them a cheque for 12.95 plus 2.80 for registered post on 29/12/2009. I have been to their website and left numerous messages. Called their office & left voice messages. The 'answering machine' apologised that they were busy due to renovations, to leave a message & someone would call back as ASAP. To this day have not received the glasses. The company cashed my cheque. I contacted Consumer Affairs, they couldn't do anything, I then called Australian Competition & Consumer Affairs (ACCC). They deal with complaints
from consumers on a wide scale, for people who have no resolution regarding
their dealings with companies who are non compliant with matters. They have
taken a formal complaint from me said they would follow up on the wherabouts
of the glasses promised & paid for by customers. (Under section 28 of the
consumer act: failure to provide goods and services upon receiving payment
    for them.)
The number for the 'glasses people' is now disconnected.
Still haven't heard anything & never will! How sad that so many people collectively (individually it's ony $16) have lost their money & this company has gotten away with it.
SO, as the saying goes, - if an offer sounds too good to be true, it usually is!

    • So many people so quick to leave a "+" vote too.

And so many people whinge when a "-" is left.

  • I'm embarassed to say that I got taken in by these guys. The whole thing was a scam. Will contact the ACCC to add weight to their follow up.
