First time poster - I hope my fellow OzBargainers in Canberra find this useful.
Basically was out looking to buy a decent 2GB 10"+ netbook that didn't run XP and stumbled upon this deal at Domayne, Fyshwick. Which meant a HP or some such for about $900ish. I figured for an extra hundred I could get a proper notebook and a Mac to boot.
I'm aware that similar deals for this now superseded model have been posted before; while I respect the inevitable arguments about this not being a bargain etc that may come as a reply, bear in mind that I was looking for a sub-$1000 netbook. It would make a great first or spare computer. The Apple consultant also told me that it is upgradeable up to 4GB. And that $999 is still the cheapest I've seen after a fair bit of Googling.
The consultant told me that they had about half a dozen left. I tried to haggle but I got no love so I think that this would be cutting close to the bone for Domayne/Harvey Norman.
