5c Notebooks in Big W's current back to school sale.

And BigW makes a loss of 83c on every pack sold! Also their is the Victory branded ones for 5c each which are a little more attractive and better quality.
I fill them at my local Big w, and at the rate its going, it definitely will not last long. A lady came in just the other day and bought a trolley full. Must be running her own kindergarden :P
I've been filling them at my local Big W and they've been going very quickly too. Had a couple of customers who filled up baskets with them… haven't seen anyone fill up a trolley though :P
It's possible they're donating them to overseas schools. At that price, it makes it economically attractive to buy them in Australia and either ship them overseas or take them when travelling to donate to kids in 3rd world countries.
It's also possible that they're reselling them at their own store at a price like this, but it's a bit silly to speculate.
@pais: well thats funny. We were not allowed to put them out until tomorrow, thats when the brochure starts anyway. Although all the prices went through yesterday.
Are you guys just putting them into a table in the middle of the ailes. We have got a entire table full with a entire pallet of them. Wonder how long they will last tomorrow.

Well I did get a pack about six months ago when they were on display for 5c at the checkout so I grabbed one. Still haven't opened the plastic though.
Sweet cant wait to pick up a stack of these.

This happens every year. Keep an eye out for SUPA IGA, as they will generally have theirs for $0.03 each. When i worked there, we sold thousands, obviously at a loss, but the amount of groceries the customer buys evens out the loss.

Just saw a lady got half a trolley full and patrol around the shelve waiting for restock. (Riverton WA)
